The women's 400 metres at the 2024 European Athletics Championships took place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy from 8 to 10 June 2024. Records Schedule Results Round 1 The 12 highest ranked athletes received a bye into the semifinals. The other athletes competed in round 1 and the 12 fastest (q) advanced to the semifinals. 2024 European Athletics Championships
The 26th European Athletics Championships will be held from 7 to 12 June 2024 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy. It will be the third time Italy has staged this sporting the event after the inaugural 1934 edition in Turin, for men only, and the 1974 edition at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Thus, the city and the venue will host the event for the second time after 50 years. Stadio Olimpico staged also the 1960 Olympic Games and 1987 World Championships in Athletics. The venue was renovated in 1990 and holds up to 70,000 spectators. On 10 November 2020, the European Athletic Association (EAA) chose Rome at its 160th Council Meeting held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Justyna Święty-Ersetic
Justyna Święty-Ersetic (; born 3 December 1992) is a Polish sprinter specialising in the 400 metres. She was the 2018 European champion and a two-time European Indoor Championship medallist in this event. Święty-Ersetic won many medals at major championships as part of Polish 4 × 400 m relays, including a gold in the mixed relay and a silver in the women's relay at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She is multiple Polish national outdoor and indoor champion. Career Justyna Święty-Ersetic competed in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. She won the bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships in the event.
