2024 Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks Season
The 2024 Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks season is the 58th season in the club's history and they compete in the National Rugby League. The club is coached by Craig Fitzgibbon in his third season with the Sharks and captained by Dale Finucane and Cameron McInnes. On Tuesday 23 April, in the lead up to Round 8, co-captain Dale Finucane announced his immediate retirement from the NRL on medical advice, due to repeated head knocks. 2024 NRL Season
The 2024 NRL season will be the 117th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 27th season run by the National Rugby League. Teams The lineup of teams in the league remained unchanged after the admission of the Dolphins (NRL), Dolphins into the competition in the previous season, with seventeen participating in the regular season: ten from New South Wales, four from Queensland and one from each of Victoria, Australia, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory and New Zealand. A rugby league team consists of thirteen players on the field, with 4 substitutes on the bench. Each of the thirteen players is assigned a position, normally with a standardised number, which reflects their role in attack and defence, although players can take up any position at any time. Players are divided into two general types, forwards and backs. Forwards are generally chosen for their size and strength. They are expected to run with the ball, to attack, and to make tackles. Connor Tracey (born 17 June 1996) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a or for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League (NRL). Leigh Leopards
The Leigh Leopards are a professional rugby league club based in Leigh, Greater Manchester, England, who compete in the Betfred Super League. Five-eighth or Stand-off is one of the positions in a rugby league football team. Wearing jersey number 6, this player is one of the two half backs in a team, partnering the . Sometimes known as the pivot or second receiver, in a traditional attacking 'back-line' (No. 1-7) play, the five-eighth would receive the ball from the scrum half, who is the first receiver of the ball from the dummy-half or following a tackle. Catalans Dragons
The Catalans Dragons ( French: ''Dragons Catalans'', Catalan: ''Dracs Catalans'') are a professional rugby league club from Perpignan, Pyrénées-Orientales department, France.
