2024 BC Lions Season
The 2024 BC Lions season is the 66th season for the team in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and their 70th overall. The Lions will attempt to qualify for the playoffs for the third straight year and win their seventh Grey Cup championship. The 2024 CFL season is the fourth season with Rick Campbell as the team's head coach and the third season with Campbell and Neil McEvoy as co- general managers. Offseason CFL Global Draft The 2024 CFL Global Draft took place on April 30, 2024. The Lions had two picks in the draft, selecting sixth in each round. Canadian Football League West Division
The West Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), its counterpart being the East Division (CFL), East Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the West Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. 2024 CFL Draft
The 2024 CFL National Draft is a selection of National players by Canadian Football League teams that is scheduled to take place in the spring of 2024. 74 players will be chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. That number is subject to change if there are any forfeited selections. Format changes As per the 2022 collective bargaining agreement, beginning with this year's draft, the two teams that had National players featured in the highest percentage of snaps played in the 2023 CFL season will each be awarded an additional second-round pick. Laval Rouge Et Or Football
The Laval Rouge et Or football team represents Laval University in Quebec City in the sport of Canadian football in U Sports. The program began its first regular season in 1996 and has quickly become one of the most successful programs in Canadian university football history. The Rouge et Or have won a record 11 Vanier Cup championships and their most recent victory occurred at the 57th Vanier Cup in 2022. Cristophe Beaulieu (born December 6, 1999) is a Canadian professional football defensive back for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). University career Beaulieu chose to enroll at Université Laval in 2020, but did not play football that year due to the cancellation of the 2020 U Sports football season. He then played U Sports football for the Laval Rouge et Or from 2021 to 2023. He played in 29 games where he recorded 84.5 tackles, three tackles for losses, 17 pass breakups, and four interceptions. The Concordia Stingers are the athletic teams that represent Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They compete with other schools in Canadian Interuniversity Sport, and more specifically in Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ; French for "Quebec Student Sports Network"). UBC Thunderbirds Football
The UBC Thunderbirds football team represents the University of British Columbia athletics teams in U Sports and is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Thunderbirds program has won the CWUAA Hardy Trophy conference championship 16 times, which is third all-time among competing teams. On a national level, the team has won the Vanier Cup championship four times, in 1982, 1986, 1997 and, most recently, in 2015. The team has also lost twice in the title game, in 1978 and 1987. Theo Benedet (born October 12, 2001) is a Canadian professional football offensive tackle for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played U Sports football for the UBC Thunderbirds. Early life Benedet was born in Toronto, Ontario and grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia. He attended Handsworth Secondary School. Windsor Lancers Football
The Windsor Lancers football team represents the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario in the sport of Canadian football in the Ontario University Athletics conference of U Sports. The Windsor Lancers football team has been in continuous operation since 1968. The team won its only Yates Cup conference championship in 1975 as winners of the OQIFC West Division. The program is one of six currently in U Sports football that have not appeared in a Vanier Cup game.
