Tyra Caterina Grant is an American tennis player. She won the girls' doubles titles at the 2023 French Open and the 2024 Australian Open. Early and personal life Born and raised in Italy, Grant is the daughter of American former basketball player Tyrone Grant who relocated to Italy to play basketball and Cinzia Giovinco, an Italian model. She trained at the Riccardo Piatti Academy in Bordighera, before later moving to Orlando, Florida to train with the United States Tennis Association. She has a younger brother called Tyson who is also a tennis player. Her mother also acts as her manager. Career In December 2022, Grant partnered Iva Jovic to win the doubles title at the Orange Bowl in Miami Beach. Iva Jovic (born 6 December 2007) is an American tennis player. She won the girls' doubles event at the 2024 Australian Open. Career From Torrance, California, she won the U14 singles event at the Orange Bowl in December 2021. She was runner-up at the inaugural International Junior Championships held at the site of the famed BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells in March 2023, being defeated by Clervie Ngounoue in the final. Alongside compatriot Tyra Caterina Grant she won the doubles at the Orange Bowl in Plantation, Florida in 2022 and again in 2023 when they defeated No. 1-seeded Czech paring of Alena Kovackova and Laura Samsonova. Grant, Jovic and Alanis Hamilton played as part of the victorious American team at the 2023 Junior Billie Jean Cup, winning the tournament without dropping a set. Early and personal life Ksenia Efremova was born in Moscow, Russia in 2009, she is the daughter of former professional tennis player Julia Efremova and former amateur player Alexey Efremov. She started playing tennis at three years-old and was coached by her mother. Her family, including her brothers Alexei and Vladimir, moved from Russia to near Nice in Alpes-Maritimes in 2019.
