2024 Arctic Race Of Norway
The 2024 Arctic Race of Norway was a road cycling stage race took place between 4 and 7 August 2024. It was the eleventh edition of the Arctic Race of Norway, which is rated as a 2.Pro event on the 2024 UCI ProSeries calendar. 2024 UCI ProSeries
The 2024 UCI ProSeries is the fifth season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The calendar consists of 55 events, of which 33 are one-day races (1.Pro), and 22 are stage races (2.Pro). There were 49 events in Europe, five in Asia, and one in the United States. Alexander Kristoff
Alexander Kristoff (born 5 July 1987) is a Norwegian professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships in 2007 and 2011. His biggest victories have been the 2014 Milan–San Remo and the 2015 Tour of Flanders among many other successes. Career Early career At six, he moved from Oslo to Stavanger. Glomfjord
Glomfjord is a village in the municipality of Meløy in Nordland county, Norway. The industrial community is located along Norwegian County Road 17 at the head of the Glomfjorden, just north of the Arctic Circle. The village has a population (2018) of 1,077 and a population density of . In 2020 Fykantrappa - a popular outdoor stairway, was permanently closed after being in operation since 1919. Heavy industry The village is based around the Glomfjord hydroelectric power plant, which was the target of the 1942 commando raid entitled Operation Musketoon. Løding is a village in the municipality of Bodø in Nordland county, Norway. It is located about east of the town of Bodø, and is connected to the town by the Tverlandet Bridge.
