2023–24 Super League Greece
The 2023–24 Super League Greece, also known as Stoiximan Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the 88th season of the Super League Greece, the top Greek professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1959. The draw for the fixtures was made on 17 July 2023. It is held with the participation of 14 teams, namely those who took 1st to 12th place in the previous championship and Panserraikos and Kifisia, which were promoted. AEK Athens are the defending champions. League matches started on Friday 18th of August 2023. Teams Way of Conduct Fourteen teams will compete in the league – the top twelve teams from the previous season and two teams promoted from Super League 2. Super League Greece
The Super League Greece 1 ( el, Ελληνική Σούπερ Λιγκ 1), or Super League 1, is the highest professional association football league in Greece. The league was formed on 16 July 2006 and replaced ''Alpha Ethniki'' at the top of the Greek football league system. It consists of 14 teams and runs from August to May, with teams playing 26 games. As of May 2022, Super League Greece is ranked 15th in the UEFA ranking of leagues, based on performances in European competitions over the last five years. Since the foundation of the first official Panhellenic Championship in 1927, only six clubs have won the title. The current champions are Olympiacos, based in Piraeus. The 2024–25 Super League Greece also known as Stoiximan Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the 89th season of the Super League Greece, the top Greek professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1959. Teams Fourteen teams will compete in the league – the top twelve teams from the previous season and two teams promoted from Super League 2. Way of conduct The championship will be held in two (2) phases, namely the regular season (phase 1) and the play-offs with the top 6 teams and play-outs round with the bottom 8 teams (phase 2). In the regular season 26 matches will be played in 2 rounds of 13 match days each, where in each round all teams will compete against all others based on a draw. The Agia Sophia Stadium (), also known by its commercial name OPAP Arena, is the home stadium of AEK Athens FC. Nea Filadelfeia ( el, Νέα Φιλαδέλφεια, meaning ''New Philadelphia'') is a suburb of Athens, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Filadelfeia-Chalkidona, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 2.850 km2. Levadiakos Football Club ( el, ΠΑΕ Λεβαδειακός) is a Greek professional football club that plays in the Super League Greece. Based in Livadeia, Greece, the club was promoted to the Alpha Ethniki, forerunner of the Super League, after ten seasons in minor divisions in the 2005–06 season, as runner-up of the Football League in 2004–05. 2022–23 Super League Greece 2
The 2022–23 Super League 2, known as Super League 2 betsson for sponsorship reasons, is the fourth season of the Super League 2, the second-tier Greek professional league for association football clubs, since the restructuring of the Greek football league system. The season is set to start on 4 November 2022 and will finish on 20 June 2023. The league will be conducted of 30 teams and two groups, this is due to the restructure and abolishment of the Football League. The B Teams of Olympiacos, PAOK, Panathinaikos and AEK Athens will also compete in the league for a second consecutive year. B Teams, however, are ineligible for promotion or relegation. The 2010–11 Super League Greece was the 75th season of the highest football league of Greece and the fifth under the name ''Super League''. The league consisted of 16 teams, the 13 best teams of the 2009–10 season and three teams that had been promoted from the 2009–10 Beta Ethniki. The season began on 27 August 2010 with the first matches of the regular season and ended on 25 May 2011 with the last matches of the European playoff round. Panathinaikos were the defending champions, having won their 20th Greek championship in the 2009–10 season.
