2023–24 Sheffield Shield Season
The 2023–24 Sheffield Shield season was the 122nd of the Australian inter-state domestic first-class cricket competition. Cricket Australia revealed the season fixtures in June 2023. The tournament opened in October 2023 with Western Australia the defending champions. Finishing first the previous season, Western Australia hosted the final at the WACA Ground in Perth, defeating Tasmania by 377 runs on March 24, 2024, to complete a hat-trick of three consecutive titles. Mitchell Swepson
Mitchell Joseph Swepson (born 4 October 1993) is an Australian cricketer. A leg-spin bowler, he made his international debut for the Australia cricket team in June 2018, and plays for Queensland and the Brisbane Heat in Australian domestic cricket. Swepson was a member of the Australian team that won the 2021 T20 World Cup.
