2023–24 PBA Season
The 2023–24 PBA season, or PBA Season 48, is the 48th season of the Philippine Basketball Association. Due to the participation of Philippine men's national basketball team in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup and 2022 Asian Games, the PBA season started on November 5, 2023 and would only have two conferences, first being the Commissioner's Cup, followed by the season-ending Philippine Cup. Opening day was originally scheduled on October 15, but was moved three weeks past the original date to give the players that participated in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2022 Asian Games time to rest and recover. The first activity of the season was the PBA Season 48 draft, held on September 17. RPTV (TV Channel)
RPTV is a Philippine free-to-air television network jointly owned and operated by TV5 Network, Inc. and Nine Media Corporation, together with Radio Philippines Network (RPN) as its free-to-air broadcaster. RPTV is formed under a content distribution, sales and marketing agreement between TV5, with its parent MediaQuest Holdings, and Nine Media, with the former providing programming and other related services to the latter through its existing airtime lease agreement with RPN. RPTV's local programming and master control originates from the TV5 Media Center, Reliance corner Sheridan Streets, in Mandaluyong, while it maintains its relay technical facilities at the Worldwide Corporate Center, Shaw Boulevard corner EDSA, also in Mandaluyong. 2022 Asian Games
The 2022 Asian Games (), officially known as the 19th Asian Games (), also known as Hangzhou 2022, ( zh, c=杭州2022, p=Hángzhōu Èr líng èr èr), will be a multi-sport event celebrated in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. Hangzhou will be the third Chinese city to host the Asian Games, after Beijing in 1990 Asian Games, 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010 Asian Games, 2010. The Blackwater Bossing is a professional basketball team owned by Ever Bilena, Inc. that is playing in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) beginning in the 2014–2015 season. The franchise began as one of the founding teams in the PBA Developmental League. It transferred to the PBA after being accepted as an expansion team. Jared Ryan B. Dillinger (born January 6, 1984) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Dillinger is the second pick overall in the very talented draft class of 2008. He is a very versatile player that can play the 2, 3, and occasionally the 4 position. Earl Timothy Cone (born December 14, 1957) is an American professional basketball coach who is the head coach of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The Bay Area Dragons is a basketball team in the East Asia Super League. Based in Hong Kong, the team is meant to represent Greater China. The TNT (cellular service), TNT Tropang Giga is a professional basketball team currently owned by Smart Communications, a subsidiary of the PLDT, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), playing in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) since 1990.
