2023–24 Orlando Magic Season
The 2023–24 Orlando Magic season was the 35th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association. This is Orlando's third season with Jamahl Mosley as head coach. With a win over the Detroit Pistons on March 3, the Magic would collect their 35th win on the season and improve on their win total from their previous season. The Magic started out their season hot by having a record of 13–5 in the month of November, but after struggles in the months of December and January, their record dropped to 25–23, but then they rebounded going 22–12 in their next three months, helping their record improve to 47–35, making them improve from their 34–48 record from last season by 13 wins, and giving them a winning season for the first time in five seasons. Their 47 wins was the most the Magic have had in a season since 2010–11. Jamahl Mosley
Jamahl Mosley (born October 6, 1978) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Colorado Buffaloes and professionally for four seasons overseas. Mosley began his coaching career in 2005 as a player development coach for the Denver Nuggets. He was promoted to assistant coach in 2007 and served in the same capacity for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks. After seven years with the Mavericks, Mosley was hired as head coach for the Orlando Magic in 2021. Playing career Mosley played college basketball for the Colorado Buffaloes and was a third-team All-Big 12 selection in 2000. The Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team represents the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. The 2023–24 New Orleans Pelicans season was the 22nd season of the New Orleans Pelicans franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team returned to the playoffs after a one-year absence defeating the Sacramento Kings in the second game of the NBA play-in tournament after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in the first game. NBA G League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm team, farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. Jesse Mermuys
Jesse Mermuys (born ) is an assistant coach for the Orlando Magic. He was a former assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets and the Toronto Raptors. Coaching career Denver Nuggets Mermuys spent four seasons with the Nuggets as assistant video coordinator. He spent some time as the advance scout for the team. Lionel Chalmers
Lionel Chalmers, Jr. (born November 10, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player who currently works as an assistant coach for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is 6'0" (1.83 m) in height and played at the point guard position. Amateur career Chalmers played his first three years of high school basketball at Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons in Schenectady, New York. He then transferred to Albany High School (Albany, New York), Albany High School for his senior year. Chalmers attended Xavier Musketeers men's basketball, Xavier University, where he played college basketball for four years as an undergraduate and later as a graduate student. Bret Brielmaier
Bret Brielmaier (born November 28, 1985) is an American professional basketball coach who currently is an assistant coach for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was raised in Mankato, Minnesota, and attended Loyola Catholic School. Brielmaier played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats from 2004 to 2008 in primarily a reserve role. He began his coaching career as an undergraduate assistant for interim Wildcats head coach Russ Pennell during the 2008–09 season. Brielmaier joined the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA as a workout coach in 2009 and was promoted to a video coordinator in 2010. The UConn Huskies men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball team of the University of Connecticut, in Storrs, Connecticut. The Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team is the College basketball, intercollegiate men's basketball program representing the University of Michigan.
