The 2023–24 season was the 131st season in the existence of Newcastle United F.C., Newcastle United and the club's List of Newcastle United F.C. seasons, seventh consecutive season in the Premier League. Graeme Anthony Jones (born 13 March 1970) is an English professional football manager and former player who works as the joint assistant at Newcastle United along with Jason Tindall. Simon Weatherstone
Simon Weatherstone (born 26 January 1980) is the 1st Team Coach at Newcastle United. A former English footballer. Weatherstone had a 15-year playing career and when he finished playing he studied for his coaching badges, where he attained his Pro License in 2020. During his coaching career, he coached at Burnley, serving as Head Coach of the U23 side. At the end of the 2013/14 season, Simon was offered the position of First Team Coach at AFC Bournemouth. The following season, AFC Bournemouth went on to win the EFL Championship, and he spent five years in the Premier League in the First Team Coach role. Stephen Robert Purches (born 14 January 1980 in Ilford, England) is an English retired footballer who played mostly for AFC Bournemouth over two spells. He also made over 100 appearances for Leyton Orient. When he retired from football he became the development coach then progressing to first team coach in 2017 at Bournemouth. Playing career Purches was a defender who could play at centre back, midfield or full back on either side. He was previously a trainee at West Ham United but left in 2000 after failing to make a single appearance for the first team. Jason James Tindall (born 15 November 1977) is an English professional football manager and former player, who is currently the assistant manager of Newcastle United. A defender during his playing days, Tindall spent the bulk of his career with AFC Bournemouth, making more than 170 appearances for the club. He briefly managed Weymouth, before returning to Bournemouth as assistant manager. Working alongside manager and former teammate Eddie Howe, Tindall helped lead Bournemouth's rise from League Two to the Premier League which saw them win three promotions in six seasons.
