Macarthur FC
Macarthur Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in South Western Sydney, New South Wales. It competes in Australia's premier soccer competition, the A-League, under licence from Australian Professional Leagues (APL). On 13 December 2018, it was announced that the club would be accepted into the A-League as part of the new expansion process. History The club's origins are in the merging of two separate bids during the league's expansion process in 2018, United for Macarthur and South West Sydney FC. The two entities joined forces on 20 August 2018 to create Macarthur South West United Football Club, which later that year was chosen by the FFA to join the league in the 2020–21 A-League season. Kearyn Baccus
Kearyn Byron Baccus (born 5 September 1991) is a footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Macarthur FC in the A-League Men. Born in South Africa, he is a youth international for Australia. Club career Baccus joined Sydney FC's youth set-up in 2008, and in 2010 moved to Europe where he joined French side Le Mans' youth set-up, not before trialling at Mallorca and Real Sociedad in Spain. In 2012, Baccus joined A-League club Perth Glory on a short-term deal prior to his impending move to Italian outfit Siena. Kristian Popovic (born 14 August 2001) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Macarthur. Club career Perth Glory On 18 April 2019, at 17 years of age, Kristian Popovic made his first appearance for Perth Glory coming on as a substitute for Jake Brimmer. Ivan Vujica (; born 20 April 1997) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Macarthur. He has represented Croatia at youth level, being capped once for their under-19 side, and has represented Australia at youth level, being capped for their under-23 side. Club career Move to Croatia Vujica departed Australia in 2011 to pursue a football career in Croatia, initially with NK Sesvete, before moving to GNK Dinamo Zagreb farm-side NK Lokomotiva Zagreb. Filip Kurto (born 14 June 1991) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the A-League Men club Macarthur FC. Club career Kurto began his career when he was 7 years old at Naki Olsztyn. In 2005, he moved to OKS 1945 Olsztyn youth team. In 2006 Kurto joined Warmia Olsztyn.
