2023–24 Gonzaga Bulldogs Women's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Gonzaga Bulldogs women's basketball team represented Gonzaga University in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Bulldogs (also informally referred to as the "Zags"), were members of the West Coast Conference. The Bulldogs, led by tenth year head coach Lisa Fortier, played their home games at the McCarthey Athletic Center on the university campus in Spokane, Washington. Previous season The Bulldogs finished the season at 28–5 and 17–1 in WCC play to win the WCC regular season championship. They advanced to the WCC women's tournament championship game where they lost to Portland. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA Women's Tournament as a 9th seed in Seattle region 4 where they lost in the first round to Ole Miss. Lisa Fortier
Lisa Mispley Fortier (born April 5, 1981) is an American basketball coach, currently the head coach of the women's basketball team at Gonzaga University. Early life and education Fortier, born Lisa Mispley, is the oldest of three children to Bill and Tami Mispley. Fortier played basketball at Placer High School before playing at both Butte College, Butte Community College and California State University, Monterey Bay. At Cal State, she earned honorable mention All California Collegiate Athletic Association, Cal-Pac Conference honors as a junior and was named to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, NAIA Academic All-America list in 2003. She graduated Latin honors, Magna Cum Laude from Cal State, Monterey Bay, in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts, B.A. in human communication. The Syracuse Orange women's basketball program is an intercollegiate women's basketball team representing Syracuse University. The program is classified in the NCAA's Division I, and the team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
