2023–24 Charlotte Hornets Season
The 2023–24 Charlotte Hornets season was the 34th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). This also became the first season where Michael Jordan would not be the majority owner of the team, with Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnall being the new majority owners of the franchise as of August 2023. Steve Clifford
Steven Gerald Clifford (born September 17, 1961) is an American basketball coach who is the head coach of the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has previously served as the head coach of the Orlando Magic. Early life Born in Island Falls, Maine, Clifford grew up in Mattawamkeag, Maine, until the third grade, when he moved to Vermont. He played varsity basketball under Gerald Clifford, his father and head coach at North Country Union High School in Newport, Vermont. Clifford attended the University of Maine at Farmington, where he played college basketball for four years. In his final two seasons, he was team captain and was named Best Defensive Player. NBA G League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm team, farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. Rex Walters
Rex Andrew Walters (born March 12, 1970) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who serves as an assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Previously, he was the Associate Head Coach at Wake Forest University under Danny Manning. Prior to Wake Forest, he spent time at Nevada under Eric Musselman. Charles Norman Richardson (born July 24, 1978) is an American former professional basketball player and current coach, who serves as an assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A 6'5" 195 lb shooting guard, he played college basketball at Hofstra University, and had a brief stint in the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 2001-02. Bruce Kreutzer
Bruce Kreutzer is an American basketball coach and former player, currently working as an assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Coaching career Kreutzer served as an assistant coach at Queens University – reaching the NCAA Division II Final Four in 2003 – and UNC Charlotte. Marlon Garnett
Marlon Errol Garnett (born July 3, 1975) is an American-Belizean coach and former professional basketball player, currently an assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA. Career Nicknamed "Money G", Garnett played collegiately for the Broncos of Santa Clara University, winning West Coast Conference player of the year honors in 1997. Tyrone Corbin
Tyrone Kennedy Corbin (born December 31, 1962) is an American former basketball player and assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets. He was first appointed the assistant coach of the Phoenix Suns, then was named the Utah Jazz’s head coach, on February 10, 2011, following the resignation of longtime coach Jerry Sloan. He was also the brief interim head coach of the Sacramento Kings in the 2014–15 season before being replaced by George Karl. Prior to that, Corbin played 16 seasons in the NBA. Robert C. Beyer (born December 10, 1961) is an American professional basketball coach who serves as an assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early life and education Beyer was born in LeRoy, New York and graduated from Alfred University in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in history with minors in coaching, writing, and secondary education.
