Count Felix of Monpezat (born Prince Felix of Denmark; born 22 July 2002) is a member of the Danish royal family. He is the younger son of Prince Joachim and his first wife, Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg. Felix is currently eighth in the line of succession to the Danish throne. Biography Felix was born a Prince of Denmark at Rigshospitalet, the Copenhagen University Hospital in Copenhagen Denmark on 22 July 2002. When his father met the press following the birth, he joked that the baby could be named anything from Ib to Nebuchadnezzar. Jakob Ellemann-Jensen (born 25 September 1973) is a Danish politician who has served as Deputy Prime Minister (Denmark), Deputy Prime Minister of Denmark and Minister of Defence (Denmark), Minister of Defence since 2022. He has been the leader of Venstre (Denmark), Venstre since 2019. A member of the Folketing since the 2011 Danish general election, 2011 general election, he served as Minister for the Environment (Denmark), Minister for Environment and Food under Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen from 2 May 2018 to 27 June 2019. Deputy Prime Minister of Denmark (, ) is an office sometimes held by a minister in the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark. In the absence of the Prime Minister of Denmark, the Deputy Prime Minister takes over their functions, such as chairing the Cabinet of Denmark and participating in the Council of State. The title used to be an informal description sometimes used, especially by the press, for the minister who is second in the order of precedence. Traditionally, the minister of foreign affairs holds the second rank. It is only when the order of precedence deviates from this tradition, that number two is referred to as ''vicestatsminister''. Irma (supermarket)
Irma is a high-end chain of supermarkets in Copenhagen and other parts of eastern Denmark. History Origin and growth (1886–1942) The Irma chain traces its history back to 1886 when Karen Marie Schepler established a store named Tavnsborggade Mælkeforsyning at Ravnsborggade 13 in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen. Her son Carl Schepler (1870-1942) took it over in 1898. The store started as a retailer of milk and eggs but later expanded into packaged groceries such as tea and sugar. Schepler also opened more stores and changed the name to Carl Scheplers Udsalg. The chain had grown to 110 stores at the time of his death in 1942. New owners and Børge Olsen (1943–1979) None of Schepler's heirs wanted to take over the company and it was therefore sold to a consortium of four egg wholesalers. Lars Boje Mathiesen (born 21 May 1975) is a Danish politician who has been an independent member of the Danish Parliament, the Folketing, since March 2023. Previously a member of the Nye Borgerlige (New Right) political party before his expulsion in 2023, he was first elected to the Folketing at the 2019 general election for the Nye Borgerlige and again at the 2022 general election. In February 2023, he succeeded Pernille Vermund as leader of the Nye Borgerlige, but was dismissed and expelled from the party in March after disputes over remuneration and campaign finances. Background Boje was born on 21 May 1975 in Skive and is the son of musician Peter Boje Mathiesen and Inge Burmølle Mathiesen. Ann Pernille Vermund Tvede (born 3 December 1975) is a Danish architect ( MAA) and politician known for co-founding and being the leader of the national-conservative political party Nye Borgerlige from 2015 until 2023. New Right (Denmark)
New Right ( da, Nye Borgerlige) is a national-conservative and right-wing populist Danish political party. The party was founded in the autumn 2015 by Pernille Vermund and Peter Seier Christensen. In the 2019 general election New Right won four seats. The party has the party letter D, and its youth organisation is named Nye Borgerliges Ungdom (NBU) or in English (''New Right's Youth).'' In February 2021 the party was the third largest Danish party based on membership, only succeeded by the Social Democrats and Venstre. The party has in November the same year 18,000 members. Etymology The party's name includes the plural of the Danish word which literally translates to 'civic', derived from meaning 'citizen'. The Danish royal family is the dynastic family of the monarch. All members of the Danish royal family except Queen Margrethe II hold the title of ''Prince/Princess of Denmark''.
