2023 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy
The 2023 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy will be the thirteenth edition of the second-tier age-grade rugby competition. The tournament is to be held in Kenya for the second time, previously being held in 2009. This year's Under 20 competition (alongside the Championship) will be the first global U20's competitions held since 2019, with the 2020 edition in Italy cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing instability in the World following the pandemic delaying the return of the competition. There have however been various regional U20 competitions with the Six Nations Under 20s Championship and Oceania Rugby Under 20 Championship continuing to take place. The tournament will be held at the 15,000 capacity Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi. Qualified teams A total of eight teams were able to qualify. 2019 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy
The 2019 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy was the twelfth annual international rugby union competition for Under 20 national teams, second-tier world championship. The event was held at the Estádio Martins Pereira in São José dos Campos from 9 until 21 July and was organized by rugby's governing body, World Rugby. Qualified teams A total of eight teams played in the tournament. The host and the 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Championship relegation country qualified automatically. U20 Barthés Trophy
The U20 Barthés Trophy is an annual rugby union competition that features national Under-20 teams from Africa, organised by Rugby Africa. The tournament began in 2007 with Uganda as the host, which saw Namibia winning the title. The Georgian Rugby Union (GRU) (Georgian: საქართველოს რაგბის კავშირი) is the governing body for the sport of rugby union in the nation of Georgia. Founded in 1964, it was part of the Rugby Union of the Soviet Union until 1991, with the Independent Georgian Rugby Union being established on May 27, 1991. Zimbabwe Rugby Union
The Zimbabwe Rugby Union was founded in 1895 as the Rhodesia Rugby Football Union, and is the governing body of rugby union in Zimbabwe. When the Pioneer Column arrived in Rhodesia from the Cape Province in 1890 it brought with it the country's first rugby players. The oldest clubs in the country were formed in 1894 in Bulawayo and the Rhodesia Rugby Football Union was founded one year later in 1895. Rhodesia competed in the second division of South Africa's Currie Cup. In 1980 the Rhodesia Rugby Football Union was renamed the Zimbabwe Rugby Union when the country's name changed as well.
