The 2023 World Aquatics Swimming World Cup was a series of three three-day meets in three different cities in October 2023. This edition was held in the long course (50 meter pool) format. World Aquatics Swimming World Cup
The World Aquatics Swimming World Cup (formerly known as the FINA Swimming World Cup) is an international series of swimming meets organized by World Aquatics (the international governing body formerly known as FINA). Launched in 1988, the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup is staged between August and November every year and attracts a high level of athletes due to the considerable prize money on offer. The event is traditionally held in short course (25m pool) format, with a switch to long course (50m pool) format in pre-Olympics years. Prior to the COVID hiatus in 2020 the event was being held in three clusters, totaling seven three day meets across seven different locations with prize money reaching US$2.5 million. The event resumed in 2021 as four meets each of three days duration, and the 2023 edition was staged as three meets each of three days duration. Danas Rapšys
Danas Rapšys (; born 21 May 1995) is a Lithuanian swimmer. He is a two-time Olympian, a multiple-time Lithuanian record holder in the men's backstroke, freestyle and butterfly, and a double swimming champion at the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei, Taiwan. Rapšys is also a member of Panevežys Žemyna Club, and is coached and trained by Ina Paipelienė. 2013 season In 2013 he became a European Junior champion. At the 2013 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Rapšys competed in 4×100 metre mixed medley with Rūta Meilutytė, Povilas Strazdas, Eva Gliožerytė. Ingrid Wilm
Ingrid Wilm (born 8 June 1998) is a Canadian swimmer, specializing in the backstroke. Career She competed in the women's 50 metre backstroke event at the 2018 FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m), in Hangzhou, China. Ingrid Wilm swam for the LA Current team in the 2021 International Swimming League. Wilm was a post-draft signing by the LA Current and soon established herself as one of the leading backstrokers in the league. She won six of the eight 100 metre backstroke races she swam in and also picked up wins in the 50 and 200 metre backstroke and in the 50 metre Skins event. Wilm finished 11th on the season MVP list and was the top ranked woman on the LA Current team. Kylie Jacqueline Masse (born January 18, 1996) is a Canadian competitive swimmer. She is a four-time Olympic medallist, having tied for the bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the 100 m backstroke and then won silver medals at the 2020 Summer Olympics in both the 100 m and 200 m backstroke and a bronze medal in the 4x100 m medley. Masse is a two-time world champion in the 100 m backstroke, breaking the eight year old world record in the process, which she held until July 2018. While winning her title in Budapest at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships she became the first Canadian woman to become a world champion in a swimming event. Lani Pallister (born 6 June 2002) is an Australian competitive swimmer. She is a world record holder in two sports, with a world record in swimming, the short course 4×200-metre freestyle relay, and world records in life saving for the youth age group in the 100-metre rescue medley and 200-metre super lifesaver. She holds the Oceanian, Commonwealth, and Australian records in the short course 1500-metre freestyle and the Australian record in the short course 800-metre freestyle. Erika Fairweather
Erika Fairweather (born 31 December 2003) is a New Zealand swimmer who competed at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships and the 2020 Summer Olympics. Fairweather was born in Dunedin, She is of mixed European and Māori descent, affiliating with Ngāi Tahu iwi. She attended Kavanagh College and was head girl in 2021. In 2018 she competed at both the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Games. He is a world record holder in the short course 4×100 meter medley relay and 4×50 meter mixed medley relay.
