2023 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships
The 2023 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships was the third edition of the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships, the annual world championships for esport road bicycle racing. It was held on 18 February 2023 on the platform Zwift on a specially designed, Scotland inspired course. Loes Adegeest Loes Adegeest (born 7 August 1996) is a Dutch racing cyclist and former speed skater. As a cyclist, she currently rides for after riding for Irish IBCT team, and the Dutch amateur team Jan van Arckel and Parkhotel Valkenburg. On 26 February 20 ... defended her 2022 world title in the women's race by winning the final sprint of three riders. The men's race was won by Bjørn Andreassen. He jumped ahead at the very start of the last race and managed to keep a gap until the finish. Zwift
Zwift is a massively multiplayer online cycling and running physical training program that enables users to interact, train, and compete in a virtual world. Zwift was developed by Zwift Inc., which was co-founded by Jon Mayfield, Eric Min, Scott Barger, and Alarik Myrin, in California, United States, North America, in 2014. The Zwift game was released in its beta version in September 2014, in partnership with TRUE Communications/InGoodTaste, and became a paid product with a fee of US$10 per month in October 2015 ().
