2023 Thailand Masters
The 2023 Thailand Masters (officially known as the Princess Sirivannavari Thailand Masters 2023 for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament that took place at the Nimibutr Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand, from 31 January to 5 February 2023 and had a total prize of US$210,000. Tournament The 2023 Thailand Masters was the fourth tournament of the 2023 BWF World Tour and was part of the Thailand Masters championships, which had been held since 2016. This tournament was organized by the Badminton Association of Thailand with sanction from the BWF. Venue This international tournament was held at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Nimibutr Stadium
Nimibutr Stadium (sometimes referred to as Nimibutr Gymnasium) is an indoor sporting arena located in Bangkok, Thailand. The capacity of the arena is 5,600 spectators. It was built in 1963 and is part of the National Stadium complex. It is used for a variety of indoor sports such as badminton, handball, basketball, futsal, gymnastics and boxing. BWF World Tour Super 300
The BWF World Tour is a Grade 2 badminton tournament series, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It is a competition open to the top world ranked players in singles (men's and women's) and doubles (men's, women's and mixed). The competition was announced on 19 March 2017 and came into effect starting from 2018, replacing the BWF Super Series, which was held from 2007 to 2017. The BWF World Tour are divided into six levels, namely World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, and Super 300 in order (part of the HSBC World Tour). One other category of tournament, the BWF Tour Super 100 level, also offers ranking points. Weng Hongyang (; born 18 June 1999) is a Chinese badminton player. He won his first BWF World Tour title at the 2019 Lingshui China Masters. Career Early career Weng entered the Fuzhou Sports School in 2006, and later the Fujian Sports School in 2009. He joined the provincial sports team in March 2011, and entered the national team in March 2018. Christian Adinata (born 16 June 2001) is an Indonesian badminton player. Born in Pati, Adinata started his career at the Tangkas Intiland club. Shi Yuqi (; Mandarin pronunciation: ; born 28 February 1996) is a Chinese badminton player. Shi Yuqi won his first Superseries title in the 2016 French Open. Ng Tze Yong
Ng Tze Yong ( zh, 黄智勇, p=; born on 16 May 2000) is a Malaysian badminton player. Ng won a bronze medal in the 2021 Sudirman Cup. He also helped his team to win gold at the Badminton Asia Team Championships and 2022 Commonwealth Games. Brian Yang (born 25 November 2001) is a Canadian badminton player. He was an integral part of the Team Alpha that won the mixed team relay gold at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics. Career In 2016, he won three gold medals at the U–19 Pan Am Junior Championships, winning the boys' doubles, mixed doubles, and team events. Kenta Nishimoto
is a Japanese badminton player. He won a silver medal in the men's singles at the 2017 Summer Universiade and a bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games.
