2023 Texas Longhorns Football Team
The 2023 Texas Longhorns football team represents the University of Texas at Austin as a member of the Big 12 Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They are led by third-year head coach Steve Sarkisian. The Longhorns play their home games at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas. The season will mark the team's last season as members of the Big 12 Conference before joining the Southeastern Conference on July 1, 2024. Big 12 Conference
The Big 12 Conference is a college athletic conference headquartered in Irving, Texas, USA. It consists of ten full-member universities. It is a member of Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for all sports. Its football teams compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS; formerly Division I-A), the higher of two levels of NCAA Division I football competition. Bijan Robinson (born January 30, 2002) is an American football running back for the Texas Longhorns. He won the Doak Walker Award in 2022. Early years Robinson attended Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona. During his career he had an Arizona high school record 7,036 career rushing yards and 114 touchdowns. As a senior, he was the Arizona Gatorade Football Player of the Year after rushing for 2,235 yards and 38 touchdowns on 126 carries. He was selected to play in the 2020 All-American Bowl. Morotoluwa Ojomo (born 15 August 2001) is a Nigerian-born American football defensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). Plano ( ) is a city in Collin County and Denton County, Texas, United States. It had a population of 285,494 at the 2020 census. It is a principal city of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Arp is a city in Smith County, in the U.S. state of Texas. It is part of the Tyler metropolitan statistical area. According to the United States Census Bureau.
