2023 Tata Open Maharashtra
The 2023 Maharashtra Open (branded as the Tata Open Maharashtra for sponsorship reasons) was a professional men's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts in Pune at the Mhalunge Balewadi Tennis Complex. It was the 27th edition of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP)'s 250 event, the only ATP tournament played in India, and was held from 2 January to 7 January 2023. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Emil Ruusuvuori (; born 2 April 1999) is a Finnish professional tennis player. He reached a career high Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP singles ranking of World No. 41 on 31 October 2022. He is currently the No. 1 Finnish singles tennis player. He has a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 179 achieved on 2 May 2022. As a junior, Ruusuvuori was ranked as high as World No. 4 in the International Tennis Federation, ITF combined junior rankings. Jenson Tyler "J. T." Brooksby (born October 26, 2000) is an American professional tennis player. He reached a career-high singles ATP rankings, ranking of world No. 33 on 13 June 2022. Ramanathan Ramkumar (born 8 November 1994) is an Indian professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as No. 111 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which he achieved in July 2018, and in doubles at No. 58 achieved in August 2022. Sumit Nagal
Sumit Nagal (born 16 August 1997) is an Indian professional tennis player. He won the 2015 Wimbledon boys' doubles title with his Vietnamese partner Lý Hoàng Nam, thus becoming the sixth Indian player to win a junior Grand Slam title. He is currently the highest-ranked Indian singles tennis player and since 2018, he has been a regular member of India's national Davis Cup squad. Manas Manoj Dhamne (born 29 December 2007) is a professional tennis player from India. He made his ATP Tour debut at the 2023 Tata Open Maharashtra – Singles, 2023 Tata Open. In doing so, he became the first player born in 2007 to play a main draw match on the tour. Career Dhamne is from Satara (city), Satara in Maharashtra.
