2023 Tata Open Maharashtra
The 2023 Maharashtra Open (branded as the Tata Open Maharashtra for sponsorship reasons) was a professional men's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts in Pune at the Mhalunge Balewadi Tennis Complex. It was the 27th edition of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP)'s 250 event, the only ATP tournament played in India, and was held from 2 January to 7 January 2023. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Emil Ruusuvuori (; born 2 April 1999) is a Finnish professional tennis player. He reached a career high Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP singles ranking of World No. 41 on 31 October 2022. Sumit Nagal (born 16 August 1997) is an Indian professional tennis player. He won the 2015 Wimbledon boys' doubles title with his Vietnamese partner Lý Hoàng Nam, thus becoming the sixth Indian player to win a junior Grand Slam title. Manas Manoj Dhamne (born 29 December 2007) is a professional tennis player from India. He made his ATP Tour debut at the 2023 Tata Open Maharashtra – Singles, 2023 Tata Open.
