2023 Taini Jamison Trophy Series
The 2023 Taini Jamison Trophy Series, also known as the 2023 Cadbury Netball Series, was the 13th Taini Jamison Trophy series. It featured New Zealand playing England in three netball test matches, played in September 2023. The New Zealand team were coached by Noeline Taurua and captained by Ameliaranne Ekenasio. England were coached by Liana Leota and co-captained by Sophie Drakeford-Lewis and Halimat Adio. Before the series started, England faced criticism from Netball New Zealand and Taurua for selecting an understrength "B team". However they subsequently defeated New Zealand 55–54 in the opening test. New Zealand eventually won the series 2–1. Sky Sport is a group of sports-oriented television channels operated by New Zealand's satellite pay-TV company, Sky. History Sky Sport 1 is the original Sky Television sport channel in New Zealand. Mainland Tactix are a netball in New Zealand, New Zealand netball team based in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand, Canterbury. Between 1998 and 2007, as Canterbury Flames, they played in the National Bank Cup, Coca-Cola Cup/National Bank Cup league. Between 2008 ANZ Championship season, 2008 and 2016 ANZ Championship season, 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship. Between 2008 and 2012 ANZ Championship season, 2012 they were known as Canterbury Tactix. Maia Wilson
Maia Wilson (born 21 September 1997) is a New Zealand netball international. She was a member of the New Zealand teams that won the 2017 Netball World Youth Cup and the 2021 Constellation Cup. She also represented New Zealand at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Wilson made her senior league debut with Central Pulse during the 2016 ANZ Championship season. Jane Watson (born 7 March 1990) is a New Zealand netball international. She was a member of the New Zealand teams that won the 2019 Netball World Cup and the 2021 Constellation Cup. Watson has also played for both Mainland Tactix and Southern Steel in the ANZ Championship and the ANZ Premiership. Whitney Souness
Whitney Souness (born 1995) is a New Zealand netball player. She currently plays for Central Pulse and had played 30 times for the New Zealand national netball team. Early life Souness was born on 12 October or 12 November 1995 (sources vary). She comes from Porirua in the Wellington Region of the North Island of New Zealand. She attended St Mary's College in Wellington and, on the school's netball team, was coached by the former Samoan international, Pelesa Semu. She was chosen for the New Zealand Secondary Schools side in 2013, and was in the national development squad in 2014 and 2015. Northern Stars are a New Zealand netball team based in South Auckland. Since 2017 they have competed in the ANZ Premiership. The team was named after the Matariki star cluster which is also featured on the team's logo. They were grand finalists in 2019 and 2021. Tiana Metuarau (born 15 January 2001) is a New Zealand netball international. Between 2017 and 2020, she was a prominent member of the Central Pulse team that won the 2018 Super Club title and the 2019 and 2020 ANZ Premiership titles. Phoenix Karaka (born 6 November 1993) is a New Zealand netball international. She was a member of the New Zealand teams that won the 2019 Netball World Cup. Christine Papali'i is her mother. Kelly Jury (born 22 October 1996) is a New Zealand netball international. She represented New Zealand at the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games. Kate Heffernan
Kate Alexandra Heffernan (born 7 October 1999) is a New Zealand netball international and former cricketer. She represented the New Zealand national netball team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the 2023 Netball World Cup. She captained New Zealand at the 2024 Netball Nations Cup.
