2023 Premier Lacrosse League Season
The 2023 Premier Lacrosse League Season is the fifth season of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). It held from June 3 through September 24. This season marked the first time that the PLL held an event in the state of Kentucky with the All-Star Events being held in Louisville, Kentucky, Louisville. This was also the first season a free agency period occurred. This season the PLL unveiled new uniforms for each team. These uniforms were developed in partnership with Champion (sportswear), Champion. The Waterdogs Lacrosse Club, Waterdogs were given a third black jersey as part of being the reigning champions. Archers Lacrosse Club would beat the reigning champion Waterdogs 15-14 in the PLL Championship game. Premier Lacrosse League
Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is an American professional field lacrosse league, composed of 8 teams. The league's inaugural season debuted on June 1, 2019, and included a 14-week tour-based schedule taking place in 12 major-market cities. The league was founded by the American professional lacrosse player Paul Rabil and his brother Mike Rabil. Investors include The Chernin Group, The Raine Group and Joe Tsai. Founding In September 2018, Bloomberg reported that Paul Rabil would be launching a new professional lacrosse league. The PLL would be a direct competitor to the more established Major League Lacrosse. The new league will provide professional lacrosse players with salaries, health care, and league equity. The Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club is a professional men's field lacrosse team in Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). The Whipsnakes are one of the six founding members of the PLL and the winner of its first two championships; the 2019 season and the 2020 Championship Tournament. The Penn Quakers men's lacrosse team represents the University of Pennsylvania in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's lacrosse. The Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens men's lacrosse team represents the University of Delaware in NCAA Division I men's college lacrosse.
