2023 Players Open
The 2023 Insitu Players Open was held from October 12 to 15 at the Dundas Granite Curling Club and the Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club in Dundas, Ontario. The event was held in a round-robin format with a $70,000 purse on both the men's and women's side. It was the first event held as part of the Players Tour during the 2023–24 season. The inaugural Players Open attracted a high calibre field of both national and international teams as it was held the weekend before the 2023 Tour Challenge in Niagara Falls. The Dirty Nil played in concert on the first night of the event. In the men's final, it was a battle of Alberta, with Team Brendan Bottcher defeating the Kevin Koe rink 5–4. The win put Bottcher in first place on the World Curling Rankings. The women's final was a battle of Sweden, with Anna Hasselborg's team defeating the Isabella Wranå rink 9–3, avenging her loss to Wranå at the Swedish European Championship playdowns the previous month. Dundas, Ontario

Kristian Lindström
Kristian Lindström (born 4 November 1989) is a Swedish curler and coach, originally from Uppsala. Career Juniors As a junior curler, Lindström played in three World Junior Curling Championships. His first was the 2007 World Junior Curling Championships playing alternate for the Niklas Edin team which won a silver medal at the event. Lindström then played in the 2009 World Junior Curling Championships throwing last stones for Oskar Eriksson's team. The team finished in fourth place after losing to the United States in both the playoffs and the bronze medal game. The Eriksson rink would return to the World Juniors in 2011 with Lindström continuing to throw last stones. The team ran through the round robin in first place, with just one loss before winning both of their playoff games, including the final against Switzerland's Peter de Cruz. Robin McCall Dallenbach (born January 20, 1964) is a former American stock car racing driver and driving instructor. She was the second woman to compete in the modern era of the NASCAR Winston Cup Series in 1982 and was the youngest woman to qualify for an event. McCall is married to fellow race car driver Wally Dallenbach Jr. and has three children. Career McCall was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She went to McArthur High School. Cameron Bryce (born 20 July 1995) is a Scottish curler from Kelso. He currently skips his own team out of Stirling. Career Bryce has twice skipped Scotland at the World Mixed Curling Championship. He and teammates Katie Murray, Bobby Lammie and Sophie Jackson finished 9th place at the 2015 World Mixed Curling Championship. The team was much more successful at the 2016 World Mixed Curling Championship. The team won their group with an undefeated 6–0 record, and then went on to beat Canada in the quarterfinals before losing to Sweden in the semifinal. In the bronze medal game, Scotland defeated South Korea. After winning the 2017 Scottish Junior Men's Curling Championship, Bryce skipped Scotland at the 2017 World Junior Curling Championships. 2023 Tour Challenge
The 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge was held from October 17 to 22 at the Gale Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It was the first Grand Slam event of the 2022–23 curling season. Qualification The Tour Challenge consists of two tiers of 16 teams. For Tier 1, the top 16 ranked men's and women's teams on the World Curling Federation's world team rankings as of September 18, 2023 qualified.
