2023 Pittsburgh Panthers Football Team
The 2023 Pittsburgh Panthers football team represented the University of Pittsburgh as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Panthers were led by ninth-year head coach Pat Narduzzi and played their home games at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. This was Pitt's eleventh season as a member of the ACC. Transfers Outgoing Incoming Schedule Pittsburgh and the ACC announced the 2023 football schedule on January 30, 2023. The 2023 season was the conference's first season since 2004 that its scheduling format included just one division. The new format set Pittsburgh with three set conference opponents, while playing the remaining ten teams twice in a four–year cycle. The 2023 James Madison Dukes football team represented James Madison University as a member of the East Division of the Sun Belt Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The 2004 NCAA Division I-A football season was the highest level of college football competition in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The regular season began on August 28, 2004 and ended on December 4, 2004. The postseason concluded on January 4, 2005 with the Orange Bowl, which served as the season's BCS National Championship Game. USC defeated Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl by a score of 55–19, which earned the Trojans their second consecutive AP title and first-ever BCS title. The Orange Bowl win and accompanying BCS title were later vacated as part of the sanctions levied against USC following an NCAA investigation. Phil Jurkovec
Phil Jurkovec (born November 3, 1999) is an American football quarterback for the Pittsburgh Panthers. He previously played college football for the Boston College and the Notre Dame. Early years Jurkovec attended Pine-Richland High School in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. He took over at quarterback at Pine-Richland after senior Ben DiNucci graduated in 2015.
