2023 National Premier Leagues NSW
The 2023 NPL NSW Men's is the eleventh season of soccer in New South Wales under the banner of the National Premier Leagues and the first season under the revised competition format. The season began on 3 February 2023 and is scheduled to conclude on 27 August. Sydney Olympic are the defending premiers and Blacktown City are the defending champions. National Premier Leagues NSW
The National Premier Leagues NSW is a semi-professional soccer competition in New South Wales, Australia. The competition is conducted by Football NSW, the organising body in New South Wales (the other being the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW organised by Northern NSW Football). The league is a subdivision of the second tier National Premier Leagues (NPL), which sits below the national A-League. Prior to becoming a subdivision of the NPL in 2013, the league was previously known as the NSW Premier League. Franco Parisi (soccer)
Franco Parisi (born 3 May 1983) is an Australian football manager and former player. He is currently the Head Coach for NPL NSW club APIA Leichhardt. Regarded as a club legend, Parisi made over 300 appearances during his time as a player for APIA. Club Career Youth Career As a youth, Parisi played with APIA Leichhardt since 1994 and developed a passion for the club growing up. In 2000, Parisi played with the AIS before being signed by Sydney Olympic. Sydney Olympic Parisi made his senior club debut for Sydney Olympic, scoring two goals against Canberra Cosmos. After spending a year with SC Telstar, Parisi returned to Olympic for the 2002-03 season. Despite some poor form and injury setbacks, Parisi found his rhythm and finished the season strong, helping Olympic win the Premiership. He left the club to join local rivals Sydney United. The Mount Druitt Town Rangers, or Mt Druitt Rangers, are a football (soccer) club from Mt Druitt Blacktown in Western Sydney, Australia. The club was incorporated in 1970. Northbridge is a suburb on the Lower North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is located 6 kilometres north of the Sydney Central Business District, in the local government area of the City of Willoughby. Zeljko Kalac (born 16 December 1972) is an Australian former soccer goalkeeper, who is currently the manager of NK Urania Baška Voda, who play in the Croatian third division. Nicknamed "Spider" due to his tall, gangly figure, standing at 2.02 m., Kalac is the tallest player to have represented the Australia national football team. Blacktown, New South Wales
Blacktown is a suburb in the City of Blacktown, in Greater Western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Blacktown is located west of the Sydney central business district. It is one of the most multicultural places within Greater Sydney.
