2023 National Arena League Season
The 2023 National Arena League season is the sixth season of the National Arena League (NAL). The league is going to have seven teams play, all of which are located in the Eastern area of the United States of America. In July 2022, the league announced an expansion team that will play for this season, in which the team will play in Fayetteville, North Carolina as the Fayetteville Mustangs. National Arena League
The National Arena League (NAL) is a professional indoor football league that began play in 2017. It consists of teams based on the East Coast of the United States. Teams' typical payroll budget is $600,000 per season, while players are paid $200 per week, and veterans can make $225 with the potential raises for loyalty on a year-by-year basis. Additionally, $50 bonus is given to players on the winning team each week. The teams also provide housing for its players during the season. Orlando Predators
The Orlando Predators were a professional arena football team based in Orlando, Florida and member of the Arena Football League (AFL). The team was most recently owned by Orlando Predators LLC, a company owned by David A. Siegel, and played its home games at Amway Center. The team was founded in as an expansion team of the AFL. Ector County Coliseum
The Ector County Coliseum is a 5,131 seat multi-purpose arena in Odessa, Texas. Tenants It is home to the Odessa Jackalopes (North American Hockey League), the West Texas Warbirds (Champions Indoor Football), the Sand Hills Rodeo, and the biennial Permian Basin International Oil Show. Each January the arena hosts a major rodeo, and the animals are kept in a large hall at one end of the arena. The West Texas Warbirds are a professional indoor football team and a member of National Arena League. The Warbirds are based in Odessa, Texas, with home games at the Ector County Coliseum. The team was originally a member of Champions Indoor Football, but never played a league game due to the COVID-19 pandemic. History The Warbirds are the third arena/indoor football team based in Odessa, following the Odessa/West Texas Roughnecks (2004–2012) and the West Texas Wildcatters (2014). Freeman Coliseum
Freeman Coliseum is a sports and concert venue located in San Antonio, Texas. It has been host to thousands of events including the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, concerts, trade shows, motor sports, circus, professional sports including professional bull riding, basketball, hockey, boxing and wrestling. It was the largest indoor arena in San Antonio until HemisFair Arena opened in 1968. Since then, many top recording artists have made their San Antonio concert debuts at the Coliseum. Herkie Walls
McCurey Hercules "Herkie" Walls (born July 18, 1961) is a former professional American football wide receiver in the National Football League and Arena Football League. Walls is currently the head coach of the Orlando Predators of the National Arena League (NAL). Amway Center
Amway Center is an indoor arena located in Downtown Orlando, Florida. The arena is home to the Orlando Magic of the NBA, the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL, and the Orlando Predators of the National Arena League. Amway Center hosted the 2012 NBA All-Star Game and the 2015 ECHL All-Star Game.
