The 2023 FIM Moto2 World Championship is part of the 75th Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, F.I.M. Road racing, Road Racing World Championship season. Teams and riders All teams use series-specified Dunlop Tyres, Dunlop tyres and Triumph Motorcycles Ltd, Triumph 765cc Straight-three engine, 3-cylinder engines. Team changes * Forward Racing and MV Agusta ended their partnership which started in . Forward Racing entered the 2023 season using motorcycles under their own brand. The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM; en, International Motorcycling Federation) is the global governing/sanctioning body of motorcycle racing. It represents 116 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six regional continental unions. There are seven motorcycle-racing disciplines that FIM covers, encompassing 82 world championships as well as hundreds of secondary championships: enduro, trial, circuit racing, motocross and supermoto, cross-country, e-bike, and track racing. FIM is also involved in many non-racing activities that promote the sport, its safety, and support relevant public policy. Sean Dylan Kelly (born May 17, 2002) is an American motorcycle racer, competing for the American Racing team in the 2022 Moto2 World Championship. He previously competed in the AMA Supersport Championship with the M4 Ecstar Suzuki team, having won the championship in 2021. Career In 2019, Kelly made his AMA Supersport debut aboard the Suzuki GSX-R600 of M4 Ecstar Suzuki. In his first season of the championship, he recorded two victories, both at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex and five podiums, which allowed him to finish the season in fourth place. Kelly continued on the M4 Ecstar Suzuki in 2020 and that season, he showed his high level. He had won five races (one at Atlanta, The Ridge, New Jersey and two at Laguna Seca), eleven podiums and three poles in 18 races. Barry Baltus (born 3 May 2004) is a Belgian Grand Prix motorcycle racer. Career Moto3 World Championship Baltus contested the season as a full-time rider in the Moto3 World Championship for CarXpert Prüstel GP, despite missing the opening race of the season due to him being under the age limit. Moto2 World Championship In 2021, Baltus moved to the Moto2 class with NTS RW Racing GP. A free practice crash at the opening round in Qatar resulted in a wrist injury which delayed his race debut until the fifth round in France. RW Racing GP is a motorcycle racing team founded by businessman Roelof Waninge from The Netherlands. The team competes in the Moto2 World Championship. Borja Gómez Rus (born 10 February 2005) is a Spanish motorcycle racer, currently competing in the Moto2 World Championship for Fantic Motor. Career Gómez began competing at the national level in 2014, finishing third place in the Spanish Minimotard 65 Championship. In 2015, he climbed a step and reached second place. After going through Supermotard he reached the Kawasaki Cup in 2019, achieving a creditable third place. In 2021, he won the Spanish Superbike Championship in the Supersport category. Celestino Vietti Ramus (born 13 October 2001) is an Italian motorcycle rider competing in Moto2 for Mooney VR46 Racing Team. He is also a member of Valentino Rossi's VR46 Academy. Career Junior career In 2018 he competed full-time in the 2018 FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship, scoring a second place in Barcelona, and finishing the season 10th overall, with 52 points. Samuel Deane Lowes (born 14 September 1990) is a British motorcycle racer competing in the Moto2 World Championship aboard a Kalex since 2019, and is part of the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team. Tony Arbolino (born 3 August 2000) is an Italian motorcycle racer. Career Moto3 World Championship Sic58 Squadra Corse (2017) He was signed up to race in the Moto3 World Championship for the SIC58 Squadra Corse team for 2017.
