Chris Lemonis
Christopher Michael Lemonis (born January 22, 1970) is an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball team. Lemonis grew up in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He played college baseball as a first baseman at The Citadel, where he appeared with the team in the 1990 College World Series. He later earned All-SoCon honors twice and led the team in several offensive categories as a senior in 1993. In 1995, Lemonis began his coaching career as an assistant coach for The Citadel, a position he would hold until 2006. During his time on staff, The Citadel qualified for the NCAA Tournament five times and had seven All-American players. From 2007 to 2014, Lemonis was an assistant coach at Louisville, helping Louisville make seven NCAA Tournament appearances including the 2007 College World Series. Paul Skenes
Paul David Skenes (born May 29, 2002) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. He played college baseball for the Air Force Falcons and the LSU Tigers. Skenes was born and raised in Orange County, California, where he attended El Toro High School and played three seasons of varsity baseball. Skenes, born into a military family, enrolled in the United States Air Force Academy and played college baseball for the school. In his 2022 sophomore season, he won the John Olerud Award, given annually to the best two-way player. Ahead of his junior season, Skenes departed from the Air Force Academy and transferred to LSU. In his lone season at LSU, Skenes posted a 1.69 earned run average (ERA) and set a single-season school record for strikeouts with 209. Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field is a baseball stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It is the home stadium of the Louisiana State University Tigers baseball team. The stadium section (and LSU's previous baseball stadium 200 yards to the north) were named for Simeon Alex Box, an LSU letterman (1942), Purple Heart and Distinguished Service Cross recipient, who was killed in North Africa during World War II. Lindsey Nelson Stadium is a baseball stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee. It is the home field of the University of Tennessee Volunteers college baseball team. The stadium opened on February 23, 1993 and holds 4,387 people. The facility is named after Hall of Fame broadcaster Lindsey Nelson, who attended the university and founded the Vol Radio Network. From 2006 to 2019, the university undertook three major renovations to the stadium. Originally a natural grass playing surface, the 2019 renovation converted the field to Field Turf.
