2023 Men's EuroHockey Championship
The 2023 Men's EuroHockey Championship was the nineteenth edition of the Men's EuroHockey Championship, the biennial international men's field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation. The tournament was held alongside the women's tournament from 19 to 27 August 2023 at the Warsteiner HockeyPark, in Mönchengladbach, Germany. The Netherlands, as the winner, qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics, while the other teams aside from Wales and France will have a second chance in the 2024 Men's FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers. The six best teams qualified directly for the 2025 edition, while the seventh and eighth place teams will play in the 2024 qualifiers. In the final the Netherlands defeated England to capture their seventh title. 2023 Men's EuroHockey Championship Qualifiers
The 2023 Men's EuroHockey Championship Qualifiers was a series of 4 qualification events for the 2023 EuroHockey Championships in Mönchengladbach. The tournaments were held in Spain, France, Austria and Scotland between 17 and 27 August 2022. The top team from each tournament qualified for the EuroHockey Championships. The second and third ranked teams from each group advanced to the EuroHockey Championship II, with the remaining teams advancing to the EuroHockey Championship III. Qualification All eligible teams from the 2021 editions of the EuroHockey Championships II and III will participate, as well as the four lowest ranked teams from the EuroHockey Championships. Nick Bandurak
Nicholas Kimon "Nick" Bandurak (born 14 December 1992) is an English field hockey player who plays as a forward for Holcombe and the England and Great Britain national teams. Club career Bandurak plays club hockey in the Men's England Hockey League Premier Division for Holcombe alongside his great friends Robert Field, Tom O'Keefe, Hayden Phillips, & Barry Middleton. José Basterra
José María Basterra Ochoa (born 3 January 1997) is a Spanish field hockey player who plays as a forward for Club de Campo and the Spanish national team. During the summer of 2020, he has participated in the Tokyo Olympic Games. Club career Basterra started playing hockey at age six at Jolaseta in Getxo. He made his debut for the first senior team in 2012 when he was just fifteen years old. From 2015 to 2017 he played for Complutense in Madrid. In 2017 after the 2017 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship, he signed for the other Madrid club Club de Campo. He was named the best player of the División de Honor in the 2020–21 season as Club de Campo won their first ever Spanish national title. Joaquín Menini (born 18 August 1991) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays as a forward for Dutch Hoofdklasse club Rotterdam and the Spanish national team. He was part of the Argentine team that won gold in men's field hockey at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
