2023 Malaysia Cup
The 2023 Malaysia Cup (Malay: ''Piala Malaysia 2023''), officially known as the TM Piala Malaysia 2023 for sponsorship reasons, was the 97th edition of Malaysia Cup tournament organised by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and the Malaysian Football League (MFL). Johor Darul Ta'zim were the defending champions. Format In the competition, the top 14 teams from the 2023 Malaysia Super League were joined by the top two teams from the 2023 Malaysia M3 League. For the same repeat last season, the group stage was not played. The competition was played from August until December 2023, with 16 teams in the knockout stage which began in the round of 16, followed by quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final. This stage was played in two legs, except for the final which was played as a single leg. The Bukit Jalil National Stadium (Malay: Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil) in Bukit Jalil, located in the National Sports Complex to the south of the city centre of Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur, is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium and the home ground of the Malaysian national football team. 2022 Malaysia Cup Knockout Stage
The 2022 Malaysia Cup knockout stage began on 26 October and ended on 26 November 2022 with the final at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to decide the champions of the 2022 Malaysia Cup. A total of 16 teams competed in the knockout stage, beginning with the Round 16 followed by the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the finals. This stage will be played in two legs except for the finals which is played once. Schedule The draw for the 2022 Malaysia Cup was held on 6 October 2022. 2023 MFL Challenge Cup
The 2023 MFL Challenge Cup is the third edition of Malaysia Challenge Cup tournament organised by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and Malaysian Football League (MFL). The tournament began on 18 September and ended on 3 December 2023. The qualified teams will compete on the knockout stage to compete in a two-legged single-elimination tournament beginning with the quarterfinals followed by semi-finals and the final. Each tie is played on a home-and-away two-legged basis. The away goals rule, extra time and penalty shoot-out are used to decide the winner if necessary. A total of 8 teams competed in the knockout phase, which the eight losers of the Malaysia Cup round of 16 will participate into the tournament.
