The 2023 Italian GT Championship is the 32nd season of the Italian GT Championship, the grand tourer-style sports car racing founded by the Italian Automobile Club (Automobile Club d'Italia). Grand Tourer
A grand tourer (GT) is a type of car that is designed for high speed and long-distance driving, due to a combination of performance and luxury attributes. The most common format is a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive two-door coupé with either a two-seat or a 2+2 arrangement. Grand tourers are most often the coupé derivative of luxury saloons or sedans. The term is a near-calque from the Italian language phrase ''gran turismo'' which became popular in the English language from the 1950s, evolving from fast touring cars and streamlined closed sports cars during the 1930s. Edoardo Liberati (born 18 December 1992) is an Italian professional racing driver. Career Karting Liberati began karting in 2006 in the Italian 100 Junior Championship, finishing as runner–up in the series the following year. In the same year he also finished second in the Lazio Regional Championship. Alessio Deledda (born 10 December 1994) is an Italian racing driver. He currently competes in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and previously competed in the Formula 2 Championship for HWA Racelab.
