2023 Intercontinental Cup (India)
The 2023 Intercontinental Cup (known as the 2023 Hero Intercontinental Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the third edition of the Intercontinental Cup, a four-nation football tournament held at the Kalinga Stadium, in the Indian city of Bhubaneswar between the 9 to 18 June 2023. The tournament was organized by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). North Korea won the previous edition by a 1–0 victory over Tajikistan in the final in 2019. India became the champion of this edition after defeating Lebanon by 2–0 in the final. With two goals each, Lallianzuala Chhangte and Sunil Chhetri of India were joint-top scorers of the tournament. Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar (; ) is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Odisha. The region, especially the old town, was historically often depicted as ''Ekamra Kshetra'' (area (''kshetra'') adorned with mango trees (''ekamra'')). Hassan Kourani
Hassan Mohamad Kourani ( ar, حسن محمد كوراني; born 22 January 1995) is a Lebanese professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for club Nejmeh and the Lebanon national team. Club career Kourani made his debut for Shabab Sahel under coach Jamal Taha in the 2013–14 Lebanese Premier League season. With six games in the league, Kourani was awarded the Lebanese Young Player of the Year award. On 18 August 2017, Tripoli announced the signing of Kourani on a one-year loan. Nader Matar
Nader Charbel Matar ( ar, نادر شربل مطر, ; born 12 May 1992) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Ansar and the Lebanon national team. Matar began his senior career in 2008 in Portugal, playing for Sporting CP B and Oeiras. He moved to Spain in 2010, where he played for Atlético Madrid C and Canillas, before moving to Ghana-based Asante Kotoko in 2012. He returning to Portugal in 2014, playing six months at Beira-Mar. The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) is one of the six continental confederations of international association football. The OFC has 13 members, 11 of which are full members and two which are associate members not affiliated with FIFA. The Vanuatu national football team is the national team of Vanuatu and is controlled by the Vanuatu Football Federation. History It was known as the New Hebrides national football team until the New Hebrides became Republic of Vanuatu in 1980. It finished fourth in the OFC Nations Cup in 1973, 2000, and 2002.
