Charles Ellis Schumer ( ; born November 23, 1950) is an American politician serving as Senate Majority Leader since January 20, 2021. She has served as the 21st secretary of state of Arizona since 2019. In the United States, a governor is the chief executive officer of a state or a territory. As of November 2022, there are 28 states with Republican governors and 22 states with Democratic governors.
