2023 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Asia And Oceania Championship
The 2023 IIHF U18 Asia and Oceania Championship was an international men's under-18 ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Steppe Arena
The Steppe Arena ( mn, Степпе Арена), is an indoor ice hockey arena in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The ice rink is built per proposed standards from the International Olympic Committee which provides the opportunity to host both international and continental games. Construction The International Ice Hockey Federation met with Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga in 2018 to discuss on the possibility of building an ice rink in Mongolia. The groundbreaking ceremony for the Steppe Arena on 14 April 2019 was led by Puntsagiin Tsagaan, founder and chairman of the Board of Steppe Arena LLC, and President Battulga. The 2012 IIHF U18 Challenge Cup of Asia was the first IIHF U18 Challenge Cup of Asia, an annual international ice hockey tournament held by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It took place between 1 April and 6 April 2012 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Thailand won the tournament after winning all four of their round robin games and finishing first in the standings. The United Arab Emirates finished second, losing only to Thailand and Malaysia finished in third place. International Ice Hockey Federation
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF; french: Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace; german: Internationale Eishockey-Föderation) is a worldwide governing body for ice hockey. It is based in Zurich, Switzerland, and has 83 member countries. The IIHF maintains the IIHF World Ranking based on international ice hockey tournaments. Rules of play for IIHF events differ from hockey in North America and the rules of the National Hockey League (NHL). Decisions of the IIHF can be appealed through the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland. The IIHF maintains its own hall of fame for international ice hockey.
