2023 Houston Dynamo FC Season
The 2023 Houston Dynamo season was the 18th season of the team's existence since joining Major League Soccer (MLS) prior to the 2006 season. The Dynamo missed the playoffs in 2022 for the eighth time in nine years. 2023 was the first season under head coach Ben Olsen, who was hired on November 8, 2022. It was the second season under GM Pat Onstad and technical director Asher Mendelsohn. It was the third season (second full season) under majority owner Ted Segal. 2023 saw the Dynamo qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2017 after finishing 4th in the Western Conference. There they would advance past Real Salt Lake in the first round 2 games to 1 in a best of 3 series and defeat Sporting Kansas City 1–0 to advance to the Conference Finals, where they would fall 2–1 to LAFC. Houston Dynamo FC (formerly officially, but still commonly, called the Houston Dynamo) is an American professional soccer club based in Houston. The Dynamo compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference. Established on December 15, 2005, the club was founded after their former owners relocated the San Jose Earthquakes' players and staff to Houston following the 2005 season. For their first six seasons in Houston, the Dynamo were based at Robertson Stadium on the campus of the University of Houston. 2022 Houston Dynamo FC Season
The 2022 Houston Dynamo season was the 17th season of the team's existence since joining Major League Soccer (MLS) prior to the 2006 season. It was the first season with head coach Paulo Nagamura, who was hired on January 3. 2022 was the Dynamo's first full season under General Manager Pat Onstad, who was hired with 1 game remaining in the 2021 season. Asher Mendelsohn was hired as technical director on January 3. On January 18, the Dynamo made the most expensive signing in club history, signing Paraguayan striker Sebastián Ferreira from Club Libertad. On March 2, the Dynamo made the highest-profile transfer in club history, signing Mexican international Héctor Herrera from Atlético Madrid to a pre-contract agreement. Andrew Tarbell
Andrew Tarbell (born October 7, 1993) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Major League Soccer side Houston Dynamo. Career College Tarbell spent his entire college career at Clemson University. He started all 55 games during his four-year career with the Tigers and led them to an ACC Tournament title in 2014 and was named to the All-ACC First team. In 2015, Tarbell led the Tigers to the National Title game, where they lost to Stanford. He was also named to the all ACC First team and led the ACC with 84 saves. Steven Thomas Clark (born April 14, 1986) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for the Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer. College and amateur career Lightly recruited out of high-school, Clark walked-on for the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies. Brad Davis (soccer)
Bradley Joseph Davis (born November 8, 1981) is an American former soccer player who played as a midfielder. Career Youth and College Davis attended high school at Chaminade College Preparatory School in Missouri. When he was 16, he had the chance to move to The Netherlands and join the PSV Eindhoven academy, but Davis opted to stay at home. Héctor Miguel Herrera López (; born 19 April 1990) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Major League Soccer club Houston Dynamo and the Mexico national team.
