The 2023 Harvard Crimson football team represented Harvard University as a member of the Ivy League during the 2023 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Ivy League is an American collegiate athletic conference comprising eight private research universities in the Northeastern United States. The term ''Ivy League'' is typically used beyond the sports context to refer to the eight schools as a group of elite colleges with connotations of academic excellence, selectivity in admissions, and social elitism. 2023 Howard Bison Football Team
The 2023 Howard Bison football team represented Howard University as a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) during the 2023 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by fourth-year head coach Larry Scott, the Bison finished with an overall record of 6–6 with a mark of 4–1 in conference play, winning the MEAC title outright and a invitation to the Celebration Bowl. Howard and North Carolina Central finished with identical 4–1 records in conference play for the second consecutive season. However, due to new conference tiebreaker rules and Howard's 50–20 victory over NC Central during the regular season, Howard won the MEAC title outright. 2023 Yale Bulldogs Football Team
The 2023 Yale Bulldogs football team represented Yale University as a member of the Ivy League during the 2023 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The team was led by 11th-year head coach Tony Reno and played home games at the Yale Bowl in New Haven, Connecticut. A total of nine Yale players won all-Ivy League selections, with Yale leading the League in representation on the all-Ivy first team. On offense, linemen Kiran Amegadjie and Jonathan Mendoza, quarterback Nathan Grooms, and receiver Mason Tipton (who was a unanimous selection) won first-team honors. The Harvard–Penn football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Harvard Crimson and Penn Quakers. The first game was played in 1881. In the first 18 games played in this 88 game series, Harvard won 13 and Penn won 5. In 1958 Penn pulled even with 14 games won by each school. There was 1 tie (1940). 2023 Dartmouth Big Green Football Team
The 2023 Dartmouth Big Green football team represented Dartmouth College in the 2023 NCAA Division I FCS football season as a member of the Ivy League. The team was to be led by 23rd-year head coach Buddy Teevens, but interim head coach Sammy McCorkle took over play-calling as Teevens recovered from injuries sustained in a bicycle crash which ultimately took his life. McCorkle was later promoted from interim head coach to permanent head coach on October 19. With three straight conference victories against Princeton, Cornell, and Brown in the final three weeks of the season, in combination with a Yale victory over Harvard in the season's final week, the Dartmouth Big Green won a share of the Ivy League title.
