2023 Hamburg Sea Devils Season
The 2022 Hamburg Sea Devils season is going to be the second season of the Hamburg Sea Devils team in the European League of Football, the second season with head coach Charles "Yogi" Jones and the first in the new Western Conference, having no games against the rivals Leipzig Kings and Panthers Wrocław. The Sea Devils are looking for the league title after two seasons reaching the championship game without a win. Preseason Shortly after the loss in the Championship Game 2022, the two defensive cornerstones Miguel Book and Kasim Edebali left the organization. Other defensive and offensive talent left the franchise to other teams in the ELF or to the Orlando Guardians of the resurrected XFL. The first big signing of the new season came with Preston Haire, OBU Bison Quarterback and participant of the New Orleans Saints minicamp. Charles "Yogi" Jones
Charles "Yogi" Jones is a former American football linebacker who played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at University of Pittsburgh. For the 2022 European League of Football season he is the new head coach of the Hamburg Sea Devils. Early years Jones arrived as a freshman at Pitt in 1977. He played his last game as a fifth-year-senior tri-captain for the No. 1-ranked University of Pittsburgh team in 1982. Professional career Charles "Yogi" Jones signed 1983 as an undrafted rookie with the Dallas Cowboys. He was injured after preseason games and in training camp, forcing him to end his professional career. The 2022 Hamburg Sea Devils season is the second season of the Hamburg Sea Devils team in the European League of Football. Preseason On November 24, 2021, the Hamburg Sea Devils began to announce their first player signings, beginning with their running back Glen Toonga. The head coach and offensive coordinator Andreas Nommensen stated in December 2021 that he won't return for the 2022 season due to personal reasons. On February 3, 2022, Charles "Yogi" Jones was officially announced as the new head coach for the season. Panthers Wrocław
The Panthers Wroclaw are an American football team in Wrocław, Poland, which was merged from Giants Wrocław and Devils Wrocław (both founded in 2005). Kasim Edebali (born August 17, 1989) is a former German-American professional American football defensive end. He played college football at Boston College and was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Early years Edebali, the son of Petty Officer 2nd Class Jonathan Stradford, and Turkish mother, Nesrin Edebali, grew up in Hamburg, Germany and played for the Hamburg Huskies.
