2023 Friuli-Venezia Giulia Regional Election
The 2023 Friuli-Venezia Giulia regional election took place from 2 to 3 April 2023. The election took place concurrently with the municipal election in 19 ''comuni'' of the Region. Electoral system Number of councilors The Special Statute provides that the number of the regional councilors is determinated by one every 25,000 inhabitants or fraction greater than 10,000, according to the data taken by the last official detection of Istat. In the 2018 election, 47 councilors were elected in the constituencies, while 1 was the seat for the president and 1 was the seat for the "best loser", the first losing candidate. Slovene Union
The Slovene Union ( sl, Slovenska skupnost, SSk, it, Unione Slovena, US) is a political party in Italy representing the Slovene minority in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Its Slovenian language name means literally "Slovene Community", but the denomination "Slovene Union" is used in other languages. Responsible Autonomy ( it, Autonomia Responsabile, AR) is a centrist to centre-right political party active in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. The party was launched as a "civic list" in support of Renzo Tondo, incumbent President of The People of Freedom in the 2013 regional election. In the event, Tondo was defeated by Debora Serracchiani of the Democratic Party, but AR obtained 10.7% of the vote and four councillors. Others joined later on. During 2014 AR was organised into a party, under the leadership of president Bruno Tellia, a university professor, and secretary Vanni Lenna, a former member of the Chamber of Deputies.
