2023 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup
The 2023 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup was the 16th edition of the FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup, the biennial international men's youth basketball championship contested by the U19 national teams of the member associations of FIBA. The tournament was hosted in Debrecen, Hungary, from 24 June to 2 July 2023. Spain won their second title after beating France in the final. Qualified teams Draw The draw took place on 14 March 2023. Főnix Arena (until 2021 Főnix Hall, ''Főnix Csarnok'') is a multi-purpose arena in Debrecen, Hungary. Főnix Aréna holds 8,500 people and opened in 2002. It hosted the 2002 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. The arena was named after the Phoenix, a mythical firebird which is the symbol of Debrecen. Elijah Fisher (born January 3, 2004) is a Canadian college basketball player. He plays for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Early life and high school career Fisher was born in Oshawa, Ontario, the second of five children of Thelia and Rohan Fisher.
