The 2023 FC Astana season was the fifteenth successive season that FC Astana will play in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Kazakhstan. Season events On 16 December 2022, Astana announced the signing of Dušan Jovančić from Tobol. On 15 January, Astana announced the return of Žarko Tomašević from Tobol. Two days later, 17 January, Aleksa Amanović became the third player to join Astana from Tobol during the winter transfer window. Later the same day, Astana announced new contract with Sultan Sagnaev, Stanislav Basmanov, Vladislav Prokopenko, Talgat Kusyapov and Danil Podymsky. On 26 January, Astana announced the signing of Josip Čondrić from Zrinjski Mostar, and the year-long loan signing of Dembo Darboe from Al-Nasr. Astana Football Club ( kk, Astana Futbol Kluby) is a professional football club based in Astana. They play in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest level of Kazakh football. The club's home ground is the 30,254-seat Astana Arena stadium. The club colours, reflected in their badge and kit, are sky blue and yellow. Founded as ''Lokomotiv Astana'' in 2009, the club changed its name to Astana in 2011. The 2024 FC Astana season is the sixteenth successive season that FC Astana will play in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Kazakhstan. Season events On 4 January, Astana announced that the loan deals for Stjepan Lončar and Dembo Darboe had ended, and that Aslan Darabayev and Žarko Tomašević had left the club after their contracts had expired. On 10 January, Astana announced that Sagi Sovet had left the club, Varazdat Haroyan also leaving the club the following day. On 16 January, Astana announced the signing of Barnes Osei to a one-year contract from Dinamo Tbilisi. Fabien Ourega (born 7 December 1992) is a French professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Kazakhstan Premier League club Astana. Professional career Ourega began his footballing career in the lower division of France, before moving to R.E. Virton in 2015. Afterwards, he spent a year without a club. Josip Čondrić (born 27 August 1993) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Kazakhstan Premier League club Astana. Aleksa Amanović (; born 24 October 1996) is a Macedonian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Astana in the Kazakhstan Premier League. Club career Amanović is product of FK Partizan academy where he played until he made his senior debut in the season 2014–15 playing on loan at Partizan satellite team FK Teleoptik. After playing half season with FK IMT in the Serbian League Belgrade, Amanović signed during the winter-break of the 2015–16 Serbian SuperLiga season with FK Javor Ivanjica. Žarko Tomašević (Serbian Cyrillic: Жapкo Toмaшeвић, ; born 22 February 1990) is a Montenegrin footballer who plays for FC Astana in the Kazakhstan Premier League as a central defender.
