2023 FA Trophy Final
The 2023 FA Trophy final was an association football match played at Wembley Stadium, London, on 21 May 2023. It was contested between FC Halifax Town and Gateshead. It was Halifax's second final following their victory in 2016 which was their only previous visit to the national stadium, and Gateshead's first FA Trophy final and first visit to Wembley since 2014. Halifax defeated Gateshead 1–0 to win their second title. FC Halifax Town defeated Guiseley, Harrow Borough, Maidenhead United, Aldershot Town, and Altrincham en route to the final. Gateshead defeated Gloucester City, Oldham Athletic, Banbury United, Farsley Celtic and Barnet en route to the final. 2022–23 FA Trophy
The 2022–23 FA Trophy (known for sponsorship reasons as the Isuzu FA Trophy) is the 54th season of the FA Trophy, an annual football competition for teams at levels 5–8 of the English football league system. Eligibility Applications to enter the 54th edition of the FA Trophy opened on 25 February 2022 and closed 1 April 2022. Competition is open to the 320 clubs playing in Steps 1–4 of the National League System, equivalent to tiers 5–8 of the overall English football league system. All but Guernsey F.C. (8) appeared on the list of clubs accepted on 1 July 2022. This resulted in an odd number of teams remaining in the first round qualifying, so a bye was allocated to Leek Town. Farsley Celtic F
Farsley is a town in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough, West Yorkshire, England to the west of Leeds city centre, east of Bradford. Farsley is situated between the two cities and near the town of Pudsey. Before April 1974, Farsley was part of the Borough of Pudsey. Before 1934 it was its own urban district council. It had its own council offices opposite the cenotaph, which is now a dental practice. The ward of Calverley and Farsley also includes the estate of Swinnow and some northern parts of Pudsey. Maidenhead is a market town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in the county of Berkshire, England, on the southwestern bank of the River Thames. York Road (Maidenhead)
York Road is a football stadium in Maidenhead, Berkshire, England. The home ground of Maidenhead United, it is acknowledged by The Football Association and FIFA to be the oldest continuously-used senior association football ground in the world by the same club, having been home to the club since 1871. A blue plaque commemorating this is placed just inside the home turnstiles on the York Road side of the ground. Jamie Garry Stott (born 22 December 1997) is an English footballer who plays for League Two club Morecambe. Club career Jamie is an academy graduate, having been at Oldham Athletic since the age of nine. He has had numerous loans spells at non-league clubs in the North-West of England, including two spells at Stockport County, where he has won young player of the season awards. Guiseley ( ) is a town in metropolitan borough of the City of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is situated south of Otley and Menston and is now a north-western suburb of Leeds.
