2023 European Rally Championship
The 2023 European Rally Championship is the 71st season of the FIA European Rally Championship, the European continental championship series in rallying. The season is also the tenth following the merge between the European Rally Championship and the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. Hayden Paddon is the reigning drivers champion. Competitions * FIA ERC: Main open championship for all current FIA-homologated cars within sporting classes RC2 to RC5, with Rally2 cars the leading contenders. * FIA ERC3: Second tier, specifically for the Rally3 class. * FIA ERC4: Third ERC tier, the first for front-wheel-drive cars. Allows Rally4 and Rally5 cars. * FIA ERC Junior: For drivers aged 27 and under on 1 January 2023 in Rally4 and Rally5 cars on Hankook tyres. Zlín (in 1949–1989 Gottwaldov; ; german: Zlin) is a city in the Czech Republic. It has about 73,000 inhabitants. It is the seat of the Zlín Region and it lies on the Dřevnice river. Barum Czech Rally Zlín
The Barum Czech Rally Zlín (also called Barum Rallye and Barum Rally Zlín), is a tarmac rally held in Zlín, Czech Republic. It is currently part of the European Rally Championship and previously has been part of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. Founded in 1971, it has been a round of the Czechoslovakia Rally Championship in its earliest days. It would later become a round of the Mitropa Cup, the Alpe Adria Rally Cup and since 1984, the European Rally Championship. The Austrian Rally Championship would later take in the event. Fiuggi ( Central-Northern Latian dialect: ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the province of Frosinone in the region of Lazio in central Italy. The town of Fiuggi became famous for its Acqua di Fiuggi (Fiuggi Water) which flows from its natural springs and mountains. The water has been used in Italy since as early as the 14th century and is famous for its purported healing properties. Karlstad (, ) is the 20th-largest city in Sweden, the seat of Karlstad Municipality, the capital of Värmland County, and the largest city in the province Värmland in Sweden. Royal Rally of Scandinavia is a rally event that takes place in Karlstad and Värmland in Sweden. The rally was organized for the first time in 2023 under the name of Royal Rally of Scandinavia, it consisted of 16 stages and 185 km of route, the first edition of this rally was won by the local Swede Oliver Solberg. In 2023, the event was selected as a round of the European Rally Championship, replacing the Rallye Açores. It was the first Swedish rally to be part of the European Championship since 2003. Liepāja
Liepāja (; liv, Līepõ; see #Names and toponymy, other names) is a state city in western Latvia, located on the Baltic Sea. The Rally Liepāja is an international rally racing event that travels northwards along the coastline of the Baltic Sea from Liepāja to Ventspils in Latvia. The event is a round of the European Rally Championship and the Latvian Rally Championship. The rally was run for the first time in 2013 as the first international auto racing event to be held in Latvia since gaining independence from the Soviet Union in 1991 and just the second motorsport event after the motorcycle Speedway Grand Prix of Latvia.
