2023 Euro Super Series
The 2023 Euro Super Series is a curling event among various countries of Europe. It was held from 17 to 27 August at the National Curling Academy in Stirling, Scotland. The women's event ran from 17 to 20 August with the men's event running from 24 to 27 August. The total purse for the event is £ 20,000 on both the men's and women's sides. In the men's event, the reigning world champion Bruce Mouat rink of Grant Hardie, Bobby Lammie and Hammy McMillan Jr. won 8–5 over Scottish rivals Ross Whyte. Team Mouat finished 3–1 through the qualifying round before defeating James Craik in the quarterfinals and Cameron Bryce in the semifinals. The Whyte rink were the top qualifiers with a 4–0 record and scored wins over Kyle Waddell and Korey Dropkin to qualify for the championship game. Stirling
Stirling (; sco, Stirlin; gd, Sruighlea ) is a city in central Scotland, northeast of Glasgow and north-west of Edinburgh. 2022 Euro Super Series
The 2022 Euro Super Series was a curling event among various countries of Europe. It held from 18 to 28 August at the National Curling Academy in Stirling, Scotland. The women's event ran from 18 to 21 August and the men's event went from 25 to 28 August. The total purse for the event was £ 20,000 on both the men's and women's sides. In the men's event, Italy's Joël Retornaz rink, with Amos Mosaner, Sebastiano Arman and Mattia Giovanella defeated the United States' Korey Dropkin 9–3 in the championship final. Team Retornaz qualified for the playoffs through the A side with three straight victories and continued their momentum into the playoff round. Team Dropkin went 3–2 in the preliminary stage and qualified through the C side before winning both their quarterfinal and semifinal matches. Michèle Jäggi
Michèle Jäggi (born 22 September 1987) is a Swiss curler. Jäggi has represented Switzerland as a junior curler, and is currently active on the World Curling Tour. Jäggi currently skips her own team. Career Jäggi is a former Swiss junior champion. She first appeared on the international scene at the World Junior Curling Championships in 2006, finishing in fourth place after losing in the semifinals and the bronze medal game. She returned to the World Junior Curling Championships two years after, but failed to make the playoffs, finishing in sixth place. Rebecca Morrison
Rebecca Morrison (born 22 August 1996) is a Scottish curler from Glasgow. She currently skips her own team out of Stirling. The team won the 2022 Scottish Curling Championships in Dumfries. Career Rebecca Morrison's national curling career has been closely intertwined with that of the Team GB nine-player squad. In being part of this squad, she skipped Team GB to the Euro Super Series championship in 2019. She later formed her current squad, with two of the other three members previous being on the team (the only person not is lead Sophie Jackson). Marianne Rørvik
Marianne Rørvik (born 2 August 1983) is a Norwegian curler from Oslo. She is the skip of the Norwegian national women's team. Rørvik has played in nine straight (1997–2005) World Junior Curling Championships, winning gold in 2004 playing third for Linn Githmark. In 2002, she was added as an alternate player on the Dordi Nordby rink. In 2005, she played second for the team, which included a trip to the 2006 Winter Olympics and a fourth-place finish. Korey Dropkin (born June 11, 1995) is an American curler originally from Southborough, Massachusetts. Curling career Juniors As a junior curler, Dropkin won three United States Junior Curling Championships, playing third for brother Stephen in 2012 and skipping in 2013 and 2016 while curling at Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland, MA. As such, he played for the United States at the World Junior Curling Championships, finishing 5th at the 2012 World Junior Curling Championships and 7th at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships. Dropkin was a member of the U.S. team at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics, skipping a team that included Sarah Anderson, Thomas Howell and Taylor Anderson. Cameron Bryce (born 20 July 1995) is a Scottish curler from Kelso. He currently skips his own team out of Stirling. Career Bryce has twice skipped Scotland at the World Mixed Curling Championship. He and teammates Katie Murray, Bobby Lammie and Sophie Jackson finished 9th place at the 2015 World Mixed Curling Championship. The team was much more successful at the 2016 World Mixed Curling Championship. The team won their group with an undefeated 6–0 record, and then went on to beat Canada in the quarterfinals before losing to Sweden in the semifinal. James Craik (curler)
James Craik (born 13 June 2001) is a Scottish curler from Edzell and Stirling. Career Juniors As a junior curler, Craik is a three-time Scottish national champion and three-time World Junior medallist. He and his rink won gold at the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships. He also won a gold medal at the 2023 Winter World University Games. In 2019, he won his first Scottish Junior title, throwing second for the Ross Whyte rink. The team represented Scotland at the 2019 World Junior Curling Championships, where they went undefeated in the round robin, finishing with a 9–0 record.
