2023 EuroLeague Playoffs
The 2023 EuroLeague Playoffs, known as the 2023 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs for sponsorship purposes, were the first postseason portion of the 2022–23 EuroLeague basketball competition. They began on 25 April 2023 and were played through 10 May 2023. The top eight finishers in the regular season qualified for the playoffs, which consist of four series of two teams each, to be played in a best-of-five format. The winners of each of the playoffs series advanced to the Final Four, which determined the EuroLeague champion for the 2022–23 season. 2022–23 EuroLeague
The 2022–23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague was the 23rd season of the modern era of the EuroLeague, and the 13th under the title sponsorship of Turkish Airlines. Including the competition's previous incarnation as the FIBA Europe Champions Cup, it was the 66th season of the premier basketball competition for European men's clubs. For a second straight season, CSKA Moscow had their EuroLeague license rescinded for the season following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Real Madrid returned to the final after losing to Anadolu Efes the previous year to claim a record-extending eleventh title against Olympiacos at the Žalgirio Arena in Kaunas, ending a five-year drought since their last triumph in 2018. Dyshawn Pierre
Dyshawn Pierre (born November 17, 1993) is a Canadian professional basketball player for Fenerbahçe of the Turkish Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL) and the EuroLeague. He is from Whitby, Ontario and played college basketball for the Dayton Flyers. Early life Pierre was born in Whitby, Ontario. In high school, Pierre led the Anderson Raiders to back-to-back OFSAA championships in 2011 and 2012. Carsen Cade Edwards (born March 12, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for Fenerbahçe of the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for the Purdue Boilermakers, where he was twice named an All-American. The Peace and Friendship Stadium ( el, Στάδιο Ειρήνης και Φιλίας, Stadio Eirinis kai Philias), commonly known by its acronym SEF, is a multi-purpose indoor arena that is located in Piraeus, on the coastal zone of Attica, Greece.
