2023 Dayton Flyers Baseball Team
The 2023 Dayton Flyers baseball team represented the University of Dayton during the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Flyers played their home games at Woerner Field as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Flyers were led by head coach Jayson King, in his 6th season at Dayton. Dayton finished the season with a 26–34 record. Background The 2022 season saw Dayton post a 23–27 (10–14 Atlantic 10) record. The Flyers failed to earn a berth in both the Atlantic 10 and NCAA baseball tournaments. Jayson King
Jayson King in an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the Dayton Flyers baseball program. He was previously the long-time head coach of the Franklin Pierce College Ravens. In 1998, King managed the Bourne Braves, a collegiate summer baseball team in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League. He has additionally coached the Lowell Spinners and the United States national baseball team. He is a native of Oakwood, Ohio. He and his wife Missy have two children. Jim Patterson Stadium
Jim Patterson Stadium is a baseball stadium in Louisville, Kentucky. It is the home field of the University of Louisville Cardinals college baseball team. It hosted the 2007 NCAA Super Regionals, where the Cardinals defeated Oklahoma State two games to one to advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. Since then, the Cardinals have hosted an NCAA Division I Baseball Championship every year since the year of 2012. In 2016, the Cardinals ranked 27th among Division I baseball programs in attendance, averaging 2,606 per home game. Along with that, the Cardinals have been ranked in the top 10 amongst other collegiate baseball teams in the nation according to Baseball America. Kentucky Proud Park
Kentucky Proud Park is a baseball stadium in Lexington, Kentucky. It is the home field of the University of Kentucky Wildcats college baseball team. Opened in 2018, with the Wildcats playing their first season in the stadium in 2019, it has a permanent capacity of 2,500, with grass berm seating adding more than 1,500 to the total capacity. Temporary seating can be added to bring the capacity to 7,000 for NCAA tournament games. Fort Dupont Park
Fort Dupont Park is a wooded park under the management of the National Park Service located in Washington, DC. The name of the park comes from the old Civil War earthwork fort that lies within the park. The fort was one of several designed to defend Washington from a Confederate attack during the Civil War. There are few remains of the actual fortifications. It is one of Washington's largest parks and protects an important sub-watershed of the Anacostia River. Bill Davis Stadium is a baseball venue located in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The stadium is home to the Ohio State Buckeyes baseball team of the Big Ten Conference and is named for William C.
