2023 Davis Cup Finals
Italy defeated Australia 2-0 in the tennis final of the 2023 Davis Cup. It was Italy's second Davis Cup title, having previously won in 1976. The Finals, formerly known as World Group, is the highest level of Davis Cup competition in 2023. It took place from 12 to 17 September and from 21 to 26 November 2023. The ties are contested in a best-of-three rubbers format and played on one day. There are two singles followed by a doubles. Canada was the defending champion, but lost in the quarterfinals to Finland. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning.
