2023 Copa Federación De España
The 2023 Copa Federación de España was 31st edition of the Copa Federación de España, also known as Copa RFEF, a knockout competition for Spanish football clubs. The competition began in August with the first games of the Regional stages and ended 22 November with the final of the National tournament. As part of the new competition format started in 2019, the four semifinalists qualified for the Copa del Rey first round. Regional tournaments Andalusia tournament The Royal Andalusian Football Federation (RFAF) decided to create the 'Copa RFAF' in 2020. The finalists of this competition were selected as the Andalusian representatives in the national phase of Copa RFEF. Final Aragon tournament Four teams joined the tournament: Almudévar (5), Brea (4), Ejea (5) and Utrillas (5). The matches started 12 August and ended 27 August. Xerez
Xerez Club Deportivo, known simply as Xerez, is a Spanish football team based in Jerez de la Frontera, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Xerez currently plays in Tercera División RFEF, the fifth tier of Spanish football. Founded on 24 September 1947, The club's biggest success came in 2009, when they managed to play in La Liga for the first time for the 2009–10 season. Xerez finished in last place however, and was relegated. After several seasons of financial problems, the team was eventually relegated all the way to the fifth tier by 2016. CD Praviano
Club Deportivo Praviano is a football team based in Pravia in the autonomous community of Asturias in Spain. Founded in 1949, the team plays in Tercera Division RFEF - Gr. 2. The club's home ground is '' Santa Catalina'', which has a capacity of 2,000 spectators. History The best success of the club was in the 1965–66 season, when it got champion of the Asturian Group of Tercera División and played the promotion playoffs to Segunda División. Caudal Deportivo is a Spanish football team based in Mieres, in the autonomous community of Asturias. Founded in 1918 it plays in Tercera División RFEF – Group 2, holding home matches at ''Estadio Hermanos Antuña'' (built in 1951), with a capacity of 2,940 spectators. History In 1914 ''Sporting de Mieres'' was founded, without any link to the Football Federation, and the club disappeared four years later, demoralized by the constant losses. Unión Popular de Langreo is a Spanish football team based in Langreo, in the autonomous community of Asturias. Founded in 1961, it plays in Segunda División RFEF – Group 1, holding its home games at ''Estadio Ganzábal'' in La Felguera, with a capacity of 4,024 seats. Club Marino de Luanco is a Spanish football team based in Luanco, in the autonomous community of Asturias. Founded in 1931 it plays in Segunda División RFEF – Group 1, holding home games at '' Estadio Miramar'', with a capacity of 3,500 seats. Unión Deportiva Llanera is a Spanish football club based in Posada de Llanera, in the autonomous community of Asturias. Founded in 1981, it plays in Segunda División RFEF – Group 1, holding home matches at ''Estadio Pepe Quimarán''. History The first team called ''UD Llanera'' was founded in 1961. This team played in Segunda Regional until the 1969–70, before being disbanded. In 1981, two former players of the old club convinced Pepe Quimarán, whose name was given to the new stadium of the club, to create a new UD Llanera. Copa Federación De España (Asturias Tournament)
The Asturias tournament is the previous round of the Copa RFEF in Asturias. Organized by the Royal Asturias Football Federation, the Asturian teams in Segunda División B and the best teams of the Tercera División (Group 2) non qualified to the Copa del Rey (making a total of 12 teams) play this tournament, including farm teams. Real Sporting is the only team who never played the Copa Federación due to playing in higher divisions. Format The tournament is played between July and October, and the champion of the tournament qualifies to the National tournament of the Copa RFEF. Since 1999, the final is played in only one game and since 2001, the qualifying round is composed by four groups of three teams where the four group winners qualify for the semifinals.
