2023 Cincinnati Bearcats Football Team
The 2023 Cincinnati Bearcats football team represented the University of Cincinnati during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bearcats, members of the Big 12 Conference, played home games at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. 2023 was the program's first season under head coach Scott Satterfield. In September 2021, Cincinnati, BYU, Houston, and UCF accepted bids to join the Big 12. On June 10, the American Athletic Conference and the three American Athletic Conference schools schools set to depart from the league (Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF) announced that they had reached a buyout agreement with the conference that will allow those schools to join the Big 12 Conference in 2023. The Big 12 Conference is a college athletic conference headquartered in Irving, Texas, USA. It consists of ten full-member universities. It is a member of Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for all sports. Its football teams compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS; formerly Division I-A), the higher of two levels of NCAA Division I football competition. 2017 Cincinnati Bearcats Football Team
The 2017 Cincinnati Bearcats football team represented the University of Cincinnati in the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bearcats were led by first-year head coach Luke Fickell who was hired in December 2016. The Bearcats played their home games at Nippert Stadium, and were members of the East Division in the American Athletic Conference. They finished the season 4–8, 2–6 in AAC play to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place in the East Division. Tremonie "Tre" Tucker (born March 8, 2001) is an American football wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Cincinnati and was drafted by the Raiders in the third round of the 2023 NFL draft. Early years Tucker attended Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He finished his high school career recording 2,288 rushing yards, 1,854 receiving yards, and 68 total touchdowns. Tom Manning (born July 22, 1983) is an American football coach who is the tight ends coach for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). Peter Alan Thomas (born October 11, 1991) is a quarterbacks coach at Cincinnati and former Arena Football League (AFL) quarterback. He has previously coached at Louisville and Appalachian State. He was a three-year starter at Valhalla High School in El Cajon, California and earned various All-State honors. He began his college football career at Colorado State, where he was the team's primary starter from 2010 to 2011. Derek Nicholson (born November 30, 1986) is the inside linebackers coach at Miami (FL) and a former American football linebacker. He played college football at Florida State Seminoles Football and previously coached at Southern Miss and Louisville.
