2023 Chinese FA Super Cup (Chinese: 2023中国足球协会超级杯) was the 18th Chinese FA Super Cup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Chinese Super League and FA Cup competitions. The match will be played between Wuhan Three Towns, champions of the 2022 Chinese Super League, and Shandong Taishan, the winner of the 2022 Chinese FA Cup. Wuhan Three Towns won their first Chinese FA Super Cup title at the their first attempt after beating Shandong Taishan 2–0. Chinese FA Super Cup
The Chinese FA Super Cup (), formerly named Chinese Football Super Cup (), is a pre-season association football, football competition held before the season begins in China PR, China. It is a Chinese football championship contested by the winners of top division of Professional League (former Chinese Jia-A League, now Chinese Super League) and the Chinese FA Cup, FA Cup last season. If both teams are the same, the opponent is the runners-up of league last season. It is the Chinese equivalent to the English FA Community Shield, in which the winners of the Premier League and FA Cup compete for the trophy. It was created in 1995 but was not held between 2004 and 2011. The most successful club is Guangzhou F.C., Guangzhou with four titles. Liu Yiming (; born 28 February 1995) is a Chinese footballer who currently plays for China League One side Wuhan Three Towns. Club career Liu started his football career when he joined Dalian Yiteng's youth academy in 2006. He went on trial with Sporting CP's youth academy in 2012 and joined soon after. In March 2013, he was loaned to China League Two club Liaoning Youth. In December 2013, Liu signed a professional contract with Sporting B until 2019. Zhang Xiaobin (; born 23 October 1993) is a Chinese footballer who plays for Chinese League One side Wuhan Three Towns. Club career Zhang Xiaobin started his football career with Jiangsu Sainty during the 2014 season after playing for Jiangsu Youth during the 2011 season and the 2012 season. Denny Wang Yi (; born 15 April 1998) is a professional footballer currently playing as a right-back for Wuhan Three Towns. Born in Italy, Wang regained Chinese nationality in 2021. Club career As a youth player, he joined the youth academy of Juventus and initially played as a midfielder. He would continue his development with fourth tier Italian club Borgosesia, where he graduated to their senior team within the 2017–18 Serie D campaign. Lü Haidong (; born 11 January 1992) is a Chinese footballer who currently plays as a left-back for Guangdong GZ-Power. Club career Lü Haidong would play for second-tier football club Shanghai East Asia before joining another second division club with Chongqing Lifan in the 2011 China League One season. Ren Hang (; ; born 23 February 1989) is a Chinese professional footballer who currently plays for Chinese Super League club Wuhan Three Towns. Club career Ren Hang started his football career with Changsha Ginde in the 2007 season when he made his debut for the club on 4 October 2007 in a 2-0 loss against Shanghai Shenhua. Li Yang (; born 22 July 1997) is a Chinese footballer currently playing as a defender for Chengdu Rongcheng. Club career Li Yang would represent Jiangsu in the 2015 China National Youth Games, where they came runners-up at the end of the tournament. Zhang Wentao (; born 14 April 1993) is a Chinese footballer who currently plays for Chinese Super League side Wuhan Three Towns.
