2023 Campeonato Mineiro
The 2023 Campeonato Mineiro (officially Campeonato Mineiro SICOOB 2023 – Módulo I for sponsorship reasons) is the 109th edition of the state championship of Minas Gerais organized by the FMF. The competition started on 21 January and ended on 9 April 2023. Atlético Mineiro successfully defended its tri-championship and earned the 48th title. Format First stage The 2023 Módulo I first stage was played by the ten teams participating in 2022 Módulo I not relegated, in addition to the two teams promoted from 2022 Módulo II. The 12 teams are divided into three groups of four teams in the first phase; the teams will play against those clubs in the other groups. At the end of the first phase, the leaders of the 3 groups plus the best second place overall qualify for the semifinals. Campeonato Mineiro
Campeonato Mineiro is the state football league of the state of Minas Gerais and is controlled by the Minas Gerais Football Federation FMF (Federação Mineira de Futebol). The history of Campeonato Mineiro can be divided into two parts: before and after the construction of the Mineirão, in September 1966. The Mineirão is the biggest football stadium of Minas Gerais and it is located in Minas Gerais' state capital, Belo Horizonte. Before the stadium's inauguration América and Atlético were the most successful teams in the state, but after the construction of the Mineirão, known as the "Era Mineirão" ("Mineirão Era"), another team from the capital, Cruzeiro, also gained prominence. Atlético is the most successful team in the competition, having won 47 championships as of 2022, trailed by Cruzeiro with 40 championships. Villa Nova Atlético Clube, commonly known as Villa Nova, is a Brazilian professional association football club based in Nova Lima, Minas Gerais. Sete Lagoas
Sete Lagoas (meaning 'Seven Lagoons' in Portuguese) is a city in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. The municipal area is 537;km² while the population was 241,835 in 2020. Location Sete Lagoas is situated about 70 kilometres from Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais. The BR 040 motorway connects Sete Lagoas with Belo Horizonte and the national capital Brasília. Paulo César Schardong
Paulo César Schardong (born 1 August 1971) is a Brazilian professional football coach. Career Born in Três Passos, Rio Grande do Sul, Schardong worked in the youth sides of Paulistano, União Suzano and União Mogi before becoming Oliveira Canindé's assistant at Campinense for the 2013 season. On 2 October 2013, after Canindé moved to CSA, he was named head coach of the ''Raposa'' for the ensuing campaign. Despite having an unbeaten start of the season, Schardong was demoted to the assistant role on 17 January 2014, as the club opted to sign a "more experienced" coach, and left Campinense exactly one month later. Governador Valadares
Governador Valadares is a Brazilian municipality in the countryside of Minas Gerais. In 2020, its population was 281,046 inhabitants, thus being the ninth most populated city in the state. It is an economical axis of the middle valley of the Doce River (Rio Doce, lit. Paulo Pezzolano (; born 25 April 1983) is a Uruguayan former professional footballer and the current manager of Cruzeiro. Career Pezzolano comes from the capital city of Montevideo and is a graduate of the local team C.A. Rentistas, were for the senior team he was involved in the age of 18. His team was relegated to the Second Division after a poor season in 2001. He spent the next two years, after which he returned with his team to the First División. Poços De Caldas
Poços de Caldas is a municipality in the south of Minas Gerais state, Brazil, in the microregion of the same name. Its estimated population in 2020 was 168,641 inhabitants. The city is known for its hot springs. History Poços was founded in 1872. The region had been inhabited by the Cataguases Indians, who were expelled from their lands by the '' Bandeiras Unidas Paulistas'' during their quest for gold. Eduardo Germán Coudet (born 12 September 1974), nicknamed El Chacho, is an Argentine professional football manager and former player who is the manager of Brazilian club Atlético Mineiro. São João Del-Rei

Vagner Mancini
Vagner do Carmo Mancini (born 24 October 1966) is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player who is in charge of Brazilian Série A club América Mineiro. Playing career Born in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Mancini started his career with Guarani in 1988.
